  1. I saw that, it was cringeworthy, I even walked out of the room in disgust.
  2. Often found the sky at night interesting, its pretty dark where I am, but also bloody cloudy too
  3. The energy providers, knew what they were doing and it sickens me to think many people are struggle with high energy costs, they force installations of these pre payment meters that actually cost the customer even more. all robbing b'stards
  4. ooops, also gave the bike a quick wash and dry, roads were full of salt and crud
  5. Went for a ride on the MT07 to the Local have it all dealer. Although I dissed the Suzuki GT, I've been offered a test ride, will see if I can get out on it next week. Also just broke into the 17st median. C25K
  6. Hang on a minute..........are driving around with just one glove on
  7. I bet Tiggie's customers were more grateful he wasn't arrested.
  8. Grateful for what, doing his job
  9. Probably feed my kids for a week for what they cost
  10. You must be minted, mine were £14.99 from Decathlon. I've managed to do 21Km in 2 weeks and I can tell their worth
  11. I don't know and not much help, people have had issues with the batteries, and recommend you check the battery ground to the frame isn't loose
  12. It was nice when I was last there in 1992. I was on Coronado Island, but never encountered law enforcement. I recall speaking to some Mexicans, they were asking "is it always foggy in London" they had only seen old black & white movies.
  13. Well that's my experience and its only my opinion
  14. Cringe-worthy and dysfunctional, The USA is so f'cked up.
  15. None of us like the motorway, I've done 600 mile days when I had too, usually its been first and last day. I would meet one of the lads at Knutsford Services and then we would all meet at either the Ferry Port or Chanel Tunnel and stay in Bethune. Only 370 mile on the first day. I wouldn't want to waste one of my nights sampling the delights that Folkestone has to offer Sorry for hijacking, I will watch the thread with interest.
  16. I certainly wish you well and all the success however, I couldn't think of anywhere worse to base myself or work. Try searching "Indeed UK" and search for Motorcycle Technician.
  17. To be fair, the Ducati has probably the better engine of the bunch. and longer service intervals. like the KTM. I need to have a word with myself, I like the 950S Supersport and the 890 Duke R. Someone mentioned the Suzuki 1000GT and I dismissed its service intervals, but I'm being drawn to that and the Tracer 9GT. I think my days of camping are over, no need for adventure style to carry all the gear, unless something is going to jump out at me and the price is right. I can travel light and can pack all I need into 30L plus tank bag or rucksack.
  18. Not sure just yet, more to see what you get for your money. I am thinking more sports tourer, but deep in the back of my mind I will end up with another BMW; however I'm not getting any younger and probably need something I can manoeuvre around easily. So far I've looked at them all even Ducati
  19. Tomorrow I will be looking at Motorcycles, need to start mooching around for a replacement.
  20. I have a small first aid kit with the essentials and plenty of paracetamol and co-codamol, this sits along side my puncture repair kit. Its fine carrying it, but a Biker down course might be just as important and essential.
  21. Just thought I would share. For anyone who is looking for accommodation with parking and security for your Stead this summer. I dont think they linky www.adler-urloffen.de/pension/zimmer www.hohberg-durbach.de www.vichter-landhaus.de/index.php www.hotelzurpost-klotten.de
  22. Warrington's never been right since it left Lancashire
  23. Strangely enough, the reason we chose the Air Balloon pub was because it was roughly equal travel for us all. Travelling from Devon, Hampshire. Lancashire & Denbighshire.
  24. I think its very laudable of the OP to put it out there, for anyone to join their trip that is. I once organised a trip through the BMW club, it was about twenty years ago, I put a little advert in their monthly magazine, I got 3 replies. We all met up about 4 months prior at the Air Balloon pub on the Birdlip Roundabout IIRC. We had a good afternoon, agreed dates and travel arrangements, swapped phone numbers and then had the best two weeks touring France, Germany & Austria. It was so good we repeated the getaway for the next 10 years.
