I'm a Rukka slaag. Over the years I have bought many items of clothing that claim they're waterproof, they might well be for an hour or two, and I cant be mithered with Oxford shite over suits. Never again would I buy an Oxford item of clothing (just my opinion ). I saved my pocket money and took the plunge with Rukka Laminate
  3. Often. I find myself struggling to find the enthusiasm to get the bike out and go for a ride. I have to set a target (a place to ride to) and ensure I ride there and not just around and about. I know, once I'm on the bike its doing good for my mental health.
  4. Michelin Pilot Road 6 Fitted to loose wheels - What a fookin palaver Just been for a little test ride - wheels still connected to the bike
  5. I cant be bothered cooking when camping - just enough gear to make a brew in the morning will do me, I don't think I stray far enough away from Takeaway food to need anything else
  6. When I enquired about the refund, they did say its only a matter of days. The promotion with Michelin, I believe, runs till the end of June, I wonder what then
  7. Well the price of tyres has certainly shot up. A pair of Michelin Pilot 6 for £320 to loose wheels. Then they say you can claim £30 back from Michelin. No, why not just sell them for £290, even that is expensive. Well I have to do it, albeit begrudgingly
  8. Well done & Good Luck I've just resigned
  9. I suppose with roads as good as those, why would you want to build a lay-by
  10. I Love it in Wales. Is that Barmouth
  11. He has the Freedom of the Town too. Not sure if that is an honour
  12. When I was a kid our local bobby use to give us a slap if we did owt wrong
  13. It must have been a late crossing, cos who the f@@k stays in Morecombe.
  14. Do i need printed or in app proof of covid jabs? - Your NHS App will provide proof of your C19 status. My passport has more than 4 years to run. - Why wouldn't you already know this is OK GB sticker on number plate. - Now a UK Sticker Got to wear gloves. - True, but why wouldn't you All bike documents. - is a must Visa, no. - Depends where you are from - you haven't added your location Type of breakdown cover or health ins, now we don`t have a Euro health card? - Find out if your insurance cover has breakdown cover - IIR you can still use your old Health card or just google a new one, why not they're free. Will vodafone data still work without paying £££ per day? - look at your contract - how the hell would I know I think the info around helmet sticker is misleading - French Legislation says motorcycle helmet must have stickers however the EU say this cannot apply retroactively to helmets already in use. some sites will have you believe you have to buy them. UK Gov and French Gov websites are a good start or ask Kevin or Geoff
  15. I would go for the KTM 890 Duke GP 'The Scalpel' It fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down.
  16. I hope you get all sorted for next year I'm unsure exactly where yet. I was meant to be going to Austria in Sept, but a change in career has put paid to that. I only have a week, so I'm quietly mooching over where to go.
  17. He sure does - I'm just choosing my moment to explain to the wife I will be off to France (Hopefully) within the next 4 weeks for a one week trip
  18. Genuine Question. Where would the OP be keeping their bike. As we know, a timber shed is a good insulator, therefore a good place to keep the bike free from damp conditions however, a brick garage will probably be more secure. Mine are in a brick garage.
  19. Had a run out on the KTM - Starting from the Veterans Cafe next to City Airport (Barton) and headed over Warburton Bridge to Arley Green, around and over to Tatton Park and Manchester Airport, from there over to Macclesfield - Cat 'n' Fiddle - A54 and back to Mac and followed the same route back to Barton. Nice little 4hr run - flask of tea and a couple of rich tea biscuits
  20. Any weather rider - well, when I say any weather, I mean I don't mind the rain and cold - I try not to commute on icy roads and deep snow. Over the years I have invested in good clobber - heated clothing and heated seat etc.
  21. where would the OP be storing his bike
  22. I get hours upon hours of enjoyment and good mental health therapy for £39. Far cheaper than counselling Don't count the miles
  23. My local track, it can be quite challenging, especially in the wet - (I used to race Karts back in the day). They used to hold a turn up and ride - not been for a while though. Well worth the money .
  24. I feel your pain. Been without our kitchen from Jan to May. Just waiting for the flooring to go down next week and then I can fit the skirting and then done. Wife has been on at me for years about getting a plate warmer - so we splashed out, since it has been installed it has never been used - she keeps forgetting about it. .
