  1. No, she just has a thing against bikes. She won't ride with my son or son in law either. Spent years as a nurse working in a Leonard Cheshire home with several residents paralysed after offs.
  2. Mine refuses point blank to ever ride with me so it's never an issue!
  3. Of course I never exceed the speed limit. It was on sale and was really cheap.
  4. Due to alarm light on display went to Ducati Worcester to get it sorted. All credit to them as they managed to reassure me the lamp was nothing significant but they couldn't clear it as their diagnostic system went down and wouldn’t be up for at least 6 hours. They did offer me a courtesy bike but I'm not available tomorrow to return it. So my bike is back home and will be returned to their care next week hopefully for final fix.
  5. Absolutely, once we get back to something close to normality. Ha f@cking ha!!
  6. Both my wife and I have had blood tests for covid antibodies. We've been signed up for this Bio-science study for about 10 years and I think it came through that.
  7. A teeny, tiny percent at the mo.
  8. I'm kind of looking forward to having a weekend where I can actually do something. Every bloody day is the same. My wife's birthday this weekend and normally we'd do something good but this year sweet FA. I f**king HATE THIS!!!!!!!
  9. Self inflicted punishment squire. I'll be enjoying a tot later this evening too. I'm partial to the peaty, smoky whiskies too. Laphroaig is good.
  10. If I listen to the radio I want to listen to music with no overpaid twit blathering on. Precious little of it around.
  11. Quite partial to Bowmore myself. On the subject has anyone else noticed that some whiskies once they are opened seem to go "off". My wife reckons so and I take it as an excuse to drink a bottle within a week of opening.
  12. Drink it man. If you sold it you'd forever be wondering what you missed and its not actually cost you anything. Be warned though it might be disappointing. My brother came round once with a rare and expensive whisky that when we tasted it was utterly vile. Still drank it though and somehow after the second glass it wasn't so bad.
  13. The "main" Road out from my place is a 20 by virtue of it being very narrow with poor sight lines. Many people walk along it and there's no pavements. Very few cars go through it at 20. Most bikes do and it boils my piss to see muppets going way faster than they should. Its actually on a known recommended TomTom route called The Cotswold Way. Closely follows the footpath of the same name.
  14. Never saw his naughty post so don't have a clue.
  15. Have to say I renewed my licence before Xmas and it was less than a week from applying online and the new one coming in the post. Ditto my passport renewal which also took only a week.
  16. As a wee cow'ring timorous beastie of an Englishman I have to say I quite like haggis, don't mind a wee dram or three but you can feed your neeps to the sheep.
  17. So glad I never went through this nightmare although like most of us I know a few people who have. It's truly vile how some people react when a relationship implodes.
  18. Well as I won't be around for it I really don't care what the family do. Burn me, bury me or feed me to the fish it'll make no difference to me. Whatever is cheapest as they are a monumental waste of money imo.
  19. It'll be a cold day in hell before I'd share a room with anyone other than my wife!
  20. How very bizarre. I mean good stuff if you wanted cheese but not exactly a balanced diet!
  21. You have a mechanic that's open?! Obviously not Rider's.
  22. Because my bike is parked on a slope the rear wheel is off the ground slightly anyway so spinning it is never a problem. If I want to spin the front I just put a bucket with a few litres of water on the pillion and it's heavy enough to tip it on to the back wheel.
