The remote control wouldn’t have let me even take off in a restricted area. It’s has all airports, prisons and no fly zones etc built into the system. There are also lots of apps to help determine where you can’t fly. I checked and rechecked but I couldn’t find anything to tell me that I couldn’t fly there before I lifted off.

I got myself a drone the other week. A DJI Mini 3 Pro. I’m new to it all, but loving it. Only managed to get out a few times to fly it so far but have taken a few clips. I’ve got one uploaded to YouTube so far. I wasn’t controlling on this clip. It was on a program. Next chance I get I’m gonna see if I can get some footage of me on the bike. Anyone else have a drone that can offer some tips?

You're doing the right thing by test riding. Only you will know if it feels right. You didn’t say what other bikes you’ve had in the meantime. I had a Tracer 900 from new in 2015 and kept it for two years. I then bought a Versys 1000GT new. It’s probably the best bike I’ve owned and I have no intention of getting rid for another few years.

Keep an ear out for ticking coming from the right hand side of the engine. This is where the CCT resides. Also not sure if the headers on the 2011 are stainless. If not look for signs of thinning. Mine were not stainless and I ended up with holes in them. They rust from the inside out. Mine was a 2002 bought in 2006 and rusted through in 2008!! Other than that they are bulletproof in my experience.
