  1. Oh, it won't go unnoticed. Just waiting for the survey they always send after the service. Someone will have an heart attack. The fact the discs are of poor quality is manufacturer stupidity little to do with the dealer. Just read a review on BYD cars, and they seem trying to beat everybody
  2. I'm on my 3rd Leaf and won't go ICE again. First one was 2st gen 30kw. after that was the limited edition 62kw and now another 62kw. I love the regen mode and if you know how to work it out you rarely need the brakes. They have the e-pedal which works well until you learn how to drive without it. once you get the hang of it you don't need e-pedal any longer. The inspection was done by some idiot who even banged his head under the car when he walked from the rear to the front. That's how brilliant they are... They can try to milk me, I assure you they will get something different. and won't be whipped cream...
  3. Or because Nissan cut on costs and used crap materials low quality parts instead of decent ones. My first leaf had the same discs for 57k miles, 4 years and nowhere near needing changed. Proof of the crap materials they are using is that during the inspection clip, the guy mentioned low quality (aftermarket) wipers when they are still the original. That's Datsun done for me... Will be better off with BYD chinese one. At least I know I'll be buying chinese cheap stuff. Taking it to Nissan because it's a service contract that cost me 350 quid for 3 years and includes 1yr RAC breakdown cover for each service.
  4. 2yrs 34k miles
  5. All the morons at Nissan!!! Started by not returning a call for booking a service. Then I had to call again and talk to someone who didn't have a clue what she was talking about. Received a load of emails and text messages asking me to make a check-in for the service. (You can suck my fat "$%"£$"£%) then today a text message that the guy would pick the car but not saying what time. Then got a useless clip of some guy walking around the car showing me that 2 years old front discs were rusting and needed replacing. How the phoq discs get rusty in 2 years when they are used almost every day?????? They want over 800 quid to replace the discs and rear pads wish somw shaite that will rust again in 2 years instead of proper quality ones. I can get the front discs and pads (yes, you don't replace the discs and keep the pads) and rear pads for £150 by Brembo. Just to show that once a Datsun, always a Datsun....
  6. Unfortunately I don't do facecrap or any other social media I thought there were 3 of us Welcome anyhoo

I agree with your argument about the bike. Too early to get one. You hardly get 100 miles out of zero ones never mind touring on one. I'm on my 3rd ev and won't go back to fuel. Infrastructure is not that much behind. Even more now that the free electricity is pretty much gone you will find plenty of stations with few cars charging. My one does easily 180 miles on a charge during winter which is more than enough for my needs. This always depends on individual circumstances as obvious. I perfectly understand that for some is still not an option. Although, news of much better batteries are announced almost every day I won't be surprised if solid state ones will start to appear during this year maybe 2025. That will bring ev bikes on the game with 200 miles tange and 10 min charging time. Believe you me, they are a lot of fun to ride.
  9. So basically, your radio signal goes out in smoke...

Nor really sure which way this should go. Either toasters that are too small for the loaf or the idiots in the supermarket who should know the size of the toaster and make the phoking bread in a way that fits inside

Unless you buy an EV then there is no oil to check

Self-checkout!!!!!!!!!! Monday, I went shopping at nearest Sainsbury. When I went to pay all counters were empty and only available the self-checkouts So, I told the lady near the self-checkouts to get my basket and put the items back because "I'm not doing your job!" As principle I don't like people to do my job. So, I absolutely refuse to do others' work. Plus, I'm not covered by their insurance if something goes wrong. Pay people decent salaries and stop exploiting the ones who pay the money to be served. There is a reason why I don't do buffet restaurants. If I'm paying to eat out, I want the entire service.

The constant notifications on my phone. Why do I have to know that I have spent some money 20 seconds after I completed the transaction? Not to mention all the other notifications I get during the day with shaite emails.

Regarding gloves... Why manufacturers make expensive gloves but don't give a oot about the seems? You spend a fortune in a decent pair of gloves and the damn seems keep rubbing and pressing against your fingers. Not ideal when you plan to do 8 hours riding
  19. I've used marine waterproof product used on boats. Brilliant and last for ages. A product called starbrite
  20. This guy, went around the world (80,000 km) on a minimoto. Around the world on a bike - 80,000km in 1,000 days
  21. I never understood why people go for walks.... If humans were meant to walk we would have wheels. Feet are for standing. Need proof? Look at a table. they have feet for standing still and wheels if they are meant to go around. Plus, never heard of anyone getting injured by sitting on a sofa....
  22. As if you weren't already....
  23. I strongly recommend that you watch a guy on YT with a channel called Oficina Mesquita. oficina MESQUITA - YouTube You won't understand what he says because he's Brazilian and only talks Portuguese. However, you will learn a lot with his channel. I would be careful with Hammerite as rust will go through it very easily. About prep work. (As per Mesquite) Do as much perfection as you can during prep and you will see the results when you finish. 95% of the result lies in preparing the surfaces. Good quality paint will last much longer even more on a motorbike. I'm considering spraying my Pan and will be ordering the products from these guys Motorcycle & scooter paint - touch up or respray for Honda Yamaha Ducati Kawasaki Triumph BMW Harley Suzuki Aprilia KTM Classic Vintage | RS Bike Paint Degreaser, you should get proper paint degreaser or as alternative carbs or brakes cleaner. Acetone is a great solution but doesn't remove everything. Spraying or painting with quality is an expensive "sport" but About the forks, You want to make sure you remove all the clear coat and correct any scratches/imperfections on the forks. At the end they are exposed to lots of aggression, high speed impact by dust, sand and even small stones (if you're lucky no large ones). Finally, a top quality filler goes a long way. Some pics of the work will be appreciate by everybody here
