raesewell Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 My point was that good riding (advanced or not) trumps loud pipes where safety is concerned. Obviously!Glad you agree Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 What the hell has Trump got to do with it? The man's an idiot. Loud I'll grant you, but that doesn't make him safe. That's the trouble with bikers, a lifetime of exhaust noise and their brains are frazzled. Quote

Stu Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 What's safer then - an advanced rider with loud pipes or an advanced rider with quiet pipes?! I think it depends. Those with "advanced" riding/driving qualifications who go just go about their business might see a benefit from louder pipes. Those with "advanced" qualifications who bang on about it ad nauseam are likely to get little benefit as other road users will see the all encompassing glow of their self righteous smugness from some considerable distance, thus rendering the loud pipes superfluous. And here's me thinking you would see their polite jacket first Quote
skyrider Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 yes it comes right round the corner at us if we wait a while Quote
fastbob Posted August 19, 2020 Posted August 19, 2020 Polite jacket or the sun shining out of their arses , whichever is brighter . Quote
