Heavy frost here, we're in a dip that always gets frost more than the surrounding area.

I was going to head out first thing but there's a hill on a bend that's prone to black ice so I delayed my trip until things had warmed up a bit. Even so with cold tyres the grip was somewhat lacking this morning.

Bit nippy this morning even down here.

It was -3 at 9am this morning according to the car’s ambient temperature gauge. There were a couple of brass monkeys looking for a brazier…

Oh, and there’s a glorious sunset out there…

Bah! In March 2020 my printer died, just when all the world and his dog started working from home and you couldn't get office equipment for love nor money.

So I ended with a choice of one, a very expensive Brother machine which I thought might last a bit longer given its price.

Not a snowball in hells chance of that, it's packed up right when I'm snowed under with stuff to do. Out of warranty of course, and I'd run it on aftermarket cartridges anyway.

So I'm getting a cheap Epsom to replace it with and hoping I can get a year out of that.

I will apologise for this now… but any time anyone has a problem with a printer, this sketch springs to mind.

Personally I prefer this option. Particularly as I had the pleasure of having to use one of these POS.

Morning. Think I'm coming down with a cold 🤒

At the first sign of a cold I always have a really hot bath. Viruses are susceptible to temperature which is why you get a temperature when you're ill. I reckon a hot bath helps do the same and catches the little blighters early.

This is just a theory but it seems to work for me. That and whisky.

Do the sensible thing and stay at home so you don't share it.

Am at work but there's no one else in today and I'm out all day surveying in forest. I've never understood people who come in the office dripping in illness, making everyone else ill and then expect praise for it.

Don't feel too bad now I'm out but will see how I fair this evening.

Re infection of covid can  come over as cold like symptoms......

True - a family member who works in a school felt a cold coming on. They did 4 lateral flow tests, all negative, but then went for a PCR test and came back positive.

It's a complete lottery, if you have it or if you test positive with it.
