S-Westerly Posted February 7, 2022 Author Posted February 7, 2022 Extracted my headlight bulbs from the bike and ordered new osram nightbreakers once I was sure I had the right type. Got them out alright but I need smaller hands. Left bits of skin behind. Quote
Steve_M Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Good evening. That was a fun job. Fitting the waste being the last job to get the en-suite fully connected. 1 Quote
MikeHorton Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Saw this I the news today looks like an interesting development of technology being trialled in different places globally. Looks like this European/UK trial has gone well https://www.newsweek.com/artificial-sun-breaks-record-landmark-moment-clean-nuclear-fusion-energy-jet-iter-1677467 Quote
S-Westerly Posted February 9, 2022 Author Posted February 9, 2022 Yes, read that this morning. Might help my grandkids with their energy bills in due course. Now investing in manufacturers of winter woolies for the short term. Quote

Usa national ignition facility have been improving but not sure how firing lasers and blowing up tiny containers is going to fix it either. Lots of work being done on many fronts but I recon 20 to 30yrs is still being optimistic 1 Quote
dynax Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 Evening, it has been a cracking day shame I had to work, and the roads seemed to have improved literally overnight. Roll on the weekend, if this keeps up I might have a Friday night ride out and chippy tea run 1 Quote

Trooper74 Posted February 9, 2022 Posted February 9, 2022 I’m having Friday off. All the children are off as it’s a school inset day, so the plan is to take the girls to have a day with their mum, non supervised, and take the “nearly a man” ( 17 and 11 months ) off for ride out to the coast, .... and chips .... the 4 year old is with his 2 mummies and will be back to me on the Saturday ... Julie, my wife, is currently on a cruise ship around the Canaries ... with her mate Lesley ... The joy of life .... 2 Quote
Trooper74 Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 (edited) Morning Chaps, another fine day in the Corps ... 15 minutes of peace then the school run party begins ... wake up children, feed them and kick 2 of them out of the door on their way to “Teenage Daycare” or Comprehensive school as some may know it, then drop nearly man off at college on the way to work ... .... And breath ... I am currently eating ... dark chocolate digestives.. Edited February 10, 2022 by Trooper74 1 Quote
Steve_M Posted February 10, 2022 Posted February 10, 2022 Good morning. Today we’re having our electricity cut off at 9am. Back on at 3.30 once they’ve cleared the tree branches from around the power lines. Log burners to heat the house are at the ready. 1 Quote

S-Westerly Posted February 11, 2022 Author Posted February 11, 2022 Bit nippy here in Barnard Castle too. Fortunately my eyesight is up to snuff for me to venture forth to Morpeth later this morning. Suspect I'll be giving my Michelin man impression. 1 Quote
