No doubt they'll all be sipping Babycham out of little glasses with their little fingers sticking up.

I've baked the odd ny cheesecake, I'm not a fan of Xmas pud, but Tbh usually there is no room for pudding and a food coma usually follows dinner

Pulled pork for lunch with Jamaican ginger cake slathered in custard for pudding.

I might swap out the ginger cake for Bajan rum cake if I can be arsed to make it (doubtful).

Cheesecakes! I love 'em! I'll be getting a few of those down me over the period too!

And if the weather is anything like last year (20C) there'll also be some of this on Xmas Day!

Might have tad envy there but you can stuff your bloody turkey in whichever way you like. Horrible pallid tasteless meat. Like mine to be good and bloody.

Will you be out sporting your new Xmas jumper, the wife loves to see kids out playing on their bikes wearing Xmas jumpers 😁

Some folk don't like them with Xmas dinner but I shall have a batch of yorky puds to accompany the turkey.

I'm supposed to be decorating now but having just finished this and trifle I'm struggling to muster the enthusiasm.

Slow roast leg of Lamb for us, fresh Rosemary & garlic stuffed into slits, on a trivet of root veg, onions & red wine.

We’ve got Stepdaughter & 2 grand daughters joint us, they will have everything but the meat, which is braised red cabbage, fluffy roast potatoes, steamed sprouts, roast carrots & parsnips, pigs in blankets, spiced stuffing, cauliflower cheese ( blue cheese ), Yorkie puds & thick gravy.

Pudding is build your own ice cream sundaes for the girls, cheesecake with clotted cream for the adults followed by a very large Cognac for me while silly games are played.

Met her. You’re not far off, very fake, I found her very unpalatable, arrogant bordering on rude and IMO the sparkle is the twinkle of the unhinged. Still like some of her food ideas though, the gluttony part isn’t an act.

Whats babycham? I think its something grannies drink at celebrations?

Traditionally Turkey with sausage meat and horse chestnut stuffing but this year goose? duck? ham? beef? Nut roast? it will be a combination.

Presently our menu is still flexible depending on who comes there might be a part time vegetarian, some one who doesn't eat anything green (I jest not)

Christmas will be some were between 2 and 7,  nothing to do with Covid just family politics.  My misses should have her dad and step mum coming for first time in 30 odd years, but step family are being difficult.  I hope it will be my 3rd Christmas with my daughter (in 12 years), it is the 2nd trip to solicitors / court for Christmas to sort the access.  Apparently alternate does not mean every other :classic_wacko: I still don't know what's happening.

If it all comes down to the 2 of us it will be Haggis Neaps and Tatties because its hard to stuff up cooking it after a dog walk/ pub crawl...  Historically the last pub we leave comments about having family to go home to?

We will have Christmas Pud, the challenge is most people serve it with Brandy Butter or another rich sauce, cream and  custard are still far from perfect as its to rich or over powers it.

What you really need is a homemade white Rum Sauce and lashings of it, so that the milk and rum compliment the richness of the pudding, ice cream works but is not 1/2 as good.

Good luck. Hope it’s works out and you get Christmas with the your daughter. Families ay! 🙄

I love Turkey and we always get a huge bird.

So at Xmas Dinner the plate is piled up with different potatoes, veg, stuffing, gravy......and a mountain of turkey!

Then I have a big portion of Xmas Pudding with thick cream!

That usually culminates with a visit to the toilet and me pebble dashing the pan with a bog-blocking turd the size of a nuclear submarine.

The turkey usually lasts about 3 to 4 days......with me eating it twice a day! By the end of this period my ass is usually f@cking hanging.

do you have turkey sandwiches / curry / stew before it's all done :classic_laugh:

Lets be honest ... Christmas is just Yorkshire Sunday Dinner with presents ....
