125cc Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Wondering what folks' thoughts are on this. Tacky 'n' naff or a nice customisation? Personally I'm a fan... I'll get a pic of mine up this weekend 125cc Quote
Gerontious Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 depends. most people view after market stickers on a bike with some suspicion as they are so commonly used to hide damage. 1 Quote
dynax Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Depends on the bike, but I think more suited to tourers and adventure bikes especially if you can travel overseas. Quote
125cc Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Mine is only a 125 so no way of hiding damage, stickers or otherwise Quote
Slowlycatchymonkey Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I’m a no stickers person. Bit like tattoos, I like them on other people. Quote
Steve_M Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I did have a Nurburgring sticker placed discretely on my VFR at one time. But by and large, not a fan. Quote
125cc Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 I think if I had something like a VFR (or any other nice bike) I wouldn't dare sticker it, however having a run-of-the-mill tenapenny YS125 its nice to customise it a bit and make it unique. Quote
125cc Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Will suit my muddy and rusty YS down to a T then Quote

My VFR is a knackered old, well worn, used and abused bike in need of a major overhaul. It was nice once upon a time... not recently, though. Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I regret not buying the sticker I saw in our local bike shop many years ago. "I've been to Casualty" 1 Quote

Guest Swagman Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 No stickers for me my bike is 2003 but still wouldn’t mess it up with stickers. Quote
husoi Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I would consider some city/country stickers for my trailer.. but. 1 - I don't give a f@ck about it 2 - I can't be bothered 3 - Why do people do free advertising for others? Quote

125cc Posted January 15, 2021 Author Posted January 15, 2021 Not into city/country stickers. Don't need to advertise where I've been. Which anyway, with my bike, is practically nowhere! Also not a fan of flags/politics. Mine are aviation-themed as that's my thing. Quote
S-Westerly Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 Wouldn't put stickers on the bike but possibly would consider something on my non-aluminium panniers but to be honest probably can't be bothered. 1 Quote
NeilM Posted January 15, 2021 Posted January 15, 2021 I have a 58 and 69 small sticker on the screen. And 1 small white rose. Nothing over noticeable. Obviously the 2 numbers in respect. And the white rose. Well because i can Quote
