PaulCa Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 Given the extremely elevated cost of OEM parts, this is, in effect a profiteering racket for the auto industry. Quote
Joe85 Posted October 24, 2021 Posted October 24, 2021 And so begins the rise of imitation complaint exhausts/cats. A shame really, because they’re hideous. Quote

I wondered why you would cover up the engine and hide it. Then I seen a picture of the front of the bike naked and ... nope. Put that fairing back on, it is ugly under here. 1 Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted October 26, 2021 Posted October 26, 2021 I'm on a Bobber forum based in the US. There's a definite pattern emerges. Guy buys a Bobber. Triumph and other manufacturers sell a vast range of goodies to modify them, either slightly or massively. So they announce a program of modifications. A few turn into HD look-a-likes. Not my taste but very well done. Most get so called performance add-ons, especially decats and air box deletes. Then two things nearly always happen. First there's post about it doesn't run so well. Second, after about a year all the bolt on bits start appearing in the 'For Sale' section and the bike gets quietly put back to standard. It's a bit like fishing tackle sales, most of time most of the tackle sold only catches the sucker who thinks he needs it. 3 Quote
