They chained themselves to things (no superglue back then) and smashed windows (no spray paint back then). But they were right, it was madness women lacked basic rights and the government was dragging its feet over those rights. It is the same now, we need immediate action over climate change and the government is not acting fast enough. Yes they are right and your right, however today people would not tolerate the hardships required if people gave up oil over night. There would be riots civil war countries would use it to take leaver-age over other countries, it’s already happening over the fuel crisis. Just like the financial crisis, this not a UK matter it’s global. There needs to be a global plan for reducing energy consumption. What should energy be used for and when? Travel & holidays? Some of the facts quoted over many environmental things are some what distorted. I always try and listen to the other side it’s surprising what you can find out. “More than three-quarters (77%) of global soy is fed to livestock for meat and dairy production.“ https://ourworldindata.org/soy#:~:text=More than three-quarters (77,%2C edamame beans%2C and tempeh. Statistics are great however “The soy cake is fed to animals and over 99% of the soy oil is used for human food. ” We extract 99% the oil use what we can use out of the soy and the 75% we cannot eat is then fed to animals. https://ourworldindata.org/soy?fbclid=IwAR27ag62eo9Eu9d-tLF82c_Z37JgL3jzDkjBDM6TMqltVKeJndvEyYVUbeg#:~:text=Typical soy products such as,lubricants and other industrial processes https://ncsoy.org/media-resources/uses-of-soybeans/?fbclid=IwAR0_yXFsHGLVl-vpwzINpexIGw8T6sVBRhNeOIgek9jxU0uSZcMbnDEPUhs Another option for the stop oil protesters could be put them under house arrest, and stop their - Oil, eg gas and electric. 1 Quote

I got banned from a model shop who was pushing super glue activator, which was mostly just water in a spray. A modeller's trick was to blow cigarette smoke onto it. This works due to the high moisture content, but the side effect is the production of cyanide gas which is perhaps not great if your modelling shed is small and airtight. In the early days of electric flight when we had crap motors and heavy NiCad battery packs model aircraft frames had to be super lightweight I used to sand wing skins so thin you could read newsprint through them, then pour about a quarter of a pint of super glue over it and work it by hand whilst it set. The wings would smoke with the heat but you ended up with a very light wing that was as hard as steel. You did have to keep your hand moving though or you stuck to it pretty quick. I imagine most road surfaces will stick to skin pretty well if you add a bit of moisture with the super glue. Kids used to super glue 10p coins to pavements to watch people try to pick them up Correct . Quote
