  1. Shouldn't be a problem, there is plenty of alternate heating solutions out there. There will be plenty of electric for us all.
  2. I would have an electric bike for my commute (if the priced came down dramatically)
  3. Went for a quick ride today, testing different positions of the screen, with the stock screen I'm getting lots of buffeting, well the screen on the KTM is pants. So I've ordered a smaller screen, similar size to the R screen. Sacrifice weather protection for clean air.
  4. A concept idea that in reality later became the BMW C1.
  5. 1. Helmet 2. Chin Mount for Go Pro.
  6. This is interesting - I've just ordered another Samsung Phone, I need a waterproof case for two phones now.
  7. Z900RS all day long for me
  8. Blackberry Winter = Indian Summer, before you know it, it will be September.
  9. I have been looking for a lighter end can. Its been difficult to find and hear a particular exhaust note. I think the Arrow end cans sound sweet and at 92-94db not too loud. As above try second hand OEM
  10. Washed it this morning, after yesterdays ride 200 mile round trip, up to Kirkby Lonsdale, back down through Forest of Bowland. As soon as I got to jnc 36 - M6 the heavens opened and it absolutely lashed it down.
  11. Cant decide, a ride out to either North Wales, Yorkshire Dales or the Peak District.
  12. I often do that route. .
  13. We usually go the end of April - 1st May Bank Holiday weekend, this year we're heading south too. Edit::: did not camp - BnB/Hotel only.
  14. Isn't it an Oxymoron, Smart and Motorway, I think they would benefit with smart drivers.
  15. Assuming you've still got capacity to do so, and not flat out in a ditch.
  16. Glad you're both OK. I hope its the other sides insurance paying up.
  17. Well after 8 months of ownership and a measly 2000 miles, this is more like a first impressions review. The bike has all the electronic assistance like many new bikes of today, all pretty much standard with the KTM range. I don't need to mention all the gizmo's its well documented out there. With a 1301cc stonking engine, it hasn't failed to put a smile on my face. Great suspension with 4 different riding modes and decent tyres that boost confidence in all conditions (Pirelli Scorpion Trail). The bike is light for such a big and tall bike, the steering feels very light and the semi active suspension soaks up the shitty road conditions however, the bike doesn't feel as planted as the old Bavarian tractor, in fact it moves about quite a lot, the rear end often kicking out. Overall I like the build quality, WP suspension and Brembo brakes/discs, along with 160BHP and 140nm torque makes for a quality ride. Heated grips are toasty and warm, but when left on for a long duration they don't feel as hot. The heated seat is great, I thought it was a gimmick at first, but it soon warms up a cold crotch on a winters day. The 23ltr fuel tank with a possible 260 mile range will come in handy when touring. Quick shifter is good, but not as good as I thought it was going to be, I think this is due to user error and I can't compare it to anything else. Additions so far, front fender extender, rad guard, Bumot pannier rails and panniers with toolbox, heated ergo seats rider/pillion and tracker. I like the keyless ignition but the keyless fuel cap is yet to be mastered, I end up opening the cap before turning the bike off. I'm not a fan of the steering lock, this sets by holding the off button for a few seconds to lock and unlock, but it sounds like the solenoid is going to give up the ghost. I like the illuminated switch gear, cruise control and the cornering lights, the cornering lights certainly make a difference, bright LED lighting which lights up the road really well. The mobile phone storage compartment is a waste of time, I cant get my phone in there nor use the USB charging point, instead I use it for keeping a tenner in there. I have added a sat nav bracket and Garmin sat nav, easily installed by removing the headlight to find the ACC1&2 live and switch live connections, well done KTM. I also have the KTM My Ride App, its good and directions appear on the TFT screen (and on your phone) but not as good as a dedicated nav IMO. So far so good on fuel economy, the on board computer is registering 55mpg but I haven't been in sport mode enough yet, just road and rain modes. Its a comfy bike to ride, but not as comfy as my old GS and not as planted, but I can see myself covering 600 miles days no problem (if required). 1st service was thrown in as part of the deal, next service 9000miles so I have time to save up, unsure of the servicing cost.
  18. A marketing ploy. I was looking at some Keis Heated Inner Gloves £69 - using Bennetts rewards save 15% with Get Geared but I have to spend over £100 with Get Geared to qualify for the 15% discount. You can claim a 10% Halfords discount voucher though, for what its worth
  19. No, the same really, nothing appealing to me at present
  20. I'm currently with Bennetts, have you used any of the Bennetts rewards!
  21. Nob of the Day today goes to the nob who has just ridden across the local playing field on his pit bike, fallen off and broke his arm. He is very lucky that is all he has done, moments earlier I saw him riding up and down the main road, no helmet, no gloves, no motorcycle protective gear at all. I almost felt sorry for him .
  22. William Shakespeare said that too.
  23. Are those your pink sliders too
  24. Took the A49 all the way to Long Mynd and back, plenty at the Raven Cafe too. A nice little 180 mile round trip.
