  1. They do, I suppose I could go on the 30 mile round trip and kick off about it, but I have no real evidence, eg screenshot or anything, so easily deniable.
  2. Err, Sportsbikeshop
  3. Sportsbikeshop Black Friday sale - absolute joke !! Had my eye on a helmet, saw it an line at Sportsbikeshop a couple of weeks ago at £159.99, eagerly awaited the Black Friday sale & there it was at £159.99 - exactly the same except with a Black Friday banner saying 20% off & a £199.99 banner with strike through - bunch of clowns !!
  4. True, you have to coast, takes 3 secs to turn them on, just a button push to change temp
  5. My Gerbing heated gloves have 3 heat settings that can be adjusted on the move through switches on the wrist of each glove. Using batteries (although bulky) means I can easily hop between bikes.
  6. Today I will be trying (again) to remove this broken bolt off Zippy. The head snapped off as I was removing the clutch cover, used penetrating fluid, heat & the 2 nuts method, but it didn’t budge & the thread stripped, Other methods will be attempted today
  7. What ever you do, use oil specifically designed for motorcycles, don’t use car oil.
  8. More if you deep fry it
  9. At the start getting yourself there can be really hard … but, once you feel the benefits ( long before you see any change ) it gets so much easier. After a hard session you will realise that you have not thought about any of the stress in your life, just whether you can make that next rep, extra 1/2kg or if you can hit your next target without running out of breath. Another thing you will find mildly addictive is being able to hit the sack & sleep like a log due to being physically exhausted. And don’t forget the money saved through having free showers
  10. Hey @onesea you wanna tell us what your doing in @janinej ‘s wardrobe?
  11. But can you get him out of it first?
  12. Well, it went Tipped off twice ( very slowly ) & got stuck over a log, apart from that it was f*cking hard work, very slippery, deep mud, ruts, narrow, wet roots & logs, absolutely loved it. TBH I was surprised that Zippy didn’t fall apart, but just kept on going only let down by it’s rider. Was concerned when the high water temp light came on, but the rad looked quite caked with mud & it had been a particularly long slow section, it went off once we got going on a bit of road. Here’s a pic of the cheerful crew, a nice bunch, no egos or nobs, they were all on proper tackle with proper tyres. A lonely Zippy, the guy leading suggested that I sit a particular lane out as it was a very steep uphill narrow ravine full of mud & my only just road legal rear tyre isn’t up to it, I also risked getting jammed, so I waited while they did it, apparently it was a good call. Met at 10:00, left at 10:30, home for 15:45 what better way to spend a rainy Sunday. Taken me 3 hours today to clean Zippy, mud and leafs in all the hard to reach crevices, I need some pokey brushes for next time.

Not really, they mostly try and fly under the radar as far as the general public are concerned. it’s the helmetless thugs with machetes on stolen scooters that do it
  14. The answer of course is C, dunno why you’d even thought of the other 2
  15. Going on my 1st TRF group ride on Sunday, gonna be muddy & my rear tyre has seen better days - we’ll see how well it goes

    Whisky choices

Personally I find the peaty malts are like drinking a bonfire or the spent ashes of a 2 week old barbecue. My absolute favourite is Oban whiskey, I went on a distillery tour there & it was a revelation, light & a hint of sea salt, apart from that Glenfiddich is my 2’nd choice.
  17. Late this year started my green laning trips on Zippy. Things I have learned: Dont go Green laning on your own Wear gear that will protect you against rocks, branches and walking sticks ( some times a snorkel might be a grid idea ) HS2 can do what the f*ck they like Zippy is a heavy bike to keep picking up
  18. My Disco sport does that & auto high beam / dip.

    Moths .

Went out for a couple of hours today - those bloody things were all over the place, loads squashed on screen & visor plus I’m sure I swallowed a fair few calories of the b’stards. Little floaty white things too stupid to get out of the way.
  21. Happy b’day hope it’s been a good’un
  22. Shame, I’ve got a side stand puck, a tyre pressure gauge, disc lock & lightweight waterproof(ish) jacket in mine with room for a tyre repair kit when I buy one. The space it’s mounted in is due to Zippy having an aftermarket can which means one of the dual cans has been deleted.
  23. 2 hour ride out, high(ish) speeds & bumpy B roads, still all in one piece
