  1. Akrapoviic have released the world's first performance exhaust designed exclusively for electric motorcycles. You can set your sound to the type of motor you desire. Plus low-carbon fibre construction, definitely one for the future. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/650272?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=ML-010422 Akrapovolt (UMWHY5)&m=email&p=01FCB2ED73Z96ZMN15H8PGSR3A&z=klaviyo&r=ML-010422&_kx=gc_kU9-Wimv981KNyYG07xQ3jqpL7pGAojhakncjVWw%3D.SK2Xaf
  2. I'll definitely be test riding a lot of options. Wont be any more exciting than some sort of reliable 650 though.
  3. Now you're talking. I could fit a lot of baggage in there too
  4. Do they take much breaking in. I use Knox gloves for this winter and they took forever to break in. Great gloves in the end but they take work to make them fit
  5. Got my email saying I'll receive a cheque within 3 weeks. Didn't say how much though.
  6. I'm looking at changing my bike at some point this year. I've only ever ridden naked bikes. I ride all year round as I commute into London. I'm moving a little further out so my commute will be longer and also have some motorway miles. With a longer journey and faster roads should I consider a bike with a bit more plastic. For example the Honda's cb650r Vs CBR 650r. Same engine, suspension etc, some differences in seating position due to handle bars. Would the CBR be more comfortable in winter as it's has more protection. Or given that over half my journey is still going to be in traffic, going slow or filtering will the extra bodywork on the CBR make any difference at all.
  7. Not tried them yet. They look like a decent glove for the money. Summer weather is still a bit away so I'll wait a while and see if any sales are put on for summer gear as I need a few things
  8. I've just checked our local Greggs. Today's lot of TGTG sold out at 10pm last night.
  9. Been using this for about a year. Used it about 8 times. Best so far is the family run bakery up the road. £9 bag of goodies for £3. Some great deals about but I think the offering from independent places have been better than the chains. One odd experience of picking Carribbean food up from some woman's house.
  10. Got my cert last week and it's wrong. Currently arguing that it's a year short
  11. Maybe these, might not be quite the level of protection you describe. https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/458827
  12. That's your monthly quote but if you use more gas/electricity than they estimate you still need to pay more on top of your monthly bill. We were with one of the suppliers that recently went bust and were transferred to another provider. They estimated total of £75 pm for gas & electric. We were paying our monthly DD but noticed after a while we were £200 behind. Keep an eye on the charge per unit not just the monthly estimate.
  13. On a side to this, is ceramic coating any good. I've had ads on social media popping up for it cause I'm looking for a new bike
  14. Send in the gravy seals.
  15. Our local is a great place that makes everything they can from scratch. Fish like cod haddock etc is £9 and hand cut chips are £3.50
  16. Nah sorry, just goes over my head.
  17. Visit a local shop or message SBS with what you need. I've messaged SBS before when I wasn't sure on a back protector and they were quick in telling what will fit
  18. I'm fairly central in London and chains, locks etc even sold secure ones meant nothing to the policy with mce. Even a tracker had minimal effect so my policy has no security named in it. For the sake of literally a few pounds at least as long as I have the steering lock on I'm covered. Having said that my bike always has multiple locks and other security regardless of where I go.
  19. I've got the Oxford hinterland jacket. I commute in it regularly and been fine in all weathers. I work in an office so I've usually just got a shirt on my top half and it's been fine this winter.
  20. It depends on what you declared on your insurance. I've found that putting locks on my policy didn't reduce the premium so I didn't put it on. If you had the steering lock on then you might be ok.
  21. I got a heavy cover from xlmoto. It got stolen. Replacement was an aquatex. It's not good at all. The cover still let's rain in
  22. Disgrace, you should write to your MP. My quote was for London and parked on a street so I'm not surprised. Would be more likely to win the lotto than wake up and a spanking new v4s still be there in the morning.
  23. No I was right. Wouldn't provide a quote.
  24. I bet they wouldn't insure me on it if I won
