But can't afford to go out...

I know that feeling this month😟

But ... I am going on an 'Advanced' training course after doing a Firebike course a week or so ago. All it's gonna cost me is brunch for the instructor 🙂

I have wobbly fingers that make the same mistakes lol. I got confused and thought motorbikes were racing in las Vegas but its cars.  There is a bike race Moto GP in Qatar on Sunday evening, my neighbour said I can go round and watch it because its a close race to who will be a world champion.

The Las Vegas car racing is on at 6am.  No chance I will get up that early on a Sunday lol.  I've always wanted to go to Las Vegas, sounds like a cool fun place.

Las Vegas was not 'cool' when me and my son went through there one evening when we were riding Route 66 - The rear lens fell off the brake light on the Harley my son was on - The metal had expanded that much in the heat!

Getting up at silly o'clock to help my son shift a double bed. The excitement is all too much.

But can you get him out of it first?

Did you stop in Vegas or just ride through?  How long does route 66 take to ride end to end?

If you do the old traditional route which is about 2400 miles, you could do it in about 10 days. If you keep your daily mileage high.  But it's not cheap !   Even in the seventies it was expensive.

A lot of companies do organised tours for Europeans....including Brits !....9 nights motel accommodation and the hire of a Harley Davidson for around £3500. The other extreme is a 15 night guided group tour for £7000.

Win the Lottery and go for it, it's an unforgettable experience.

We did a short stretch in 10 days covering around 300M a day.

Also it was a circular trip starting from SLC in Utah - south to the Route 66 and then West, anf through Vegas, the Interstellar Highway, Bear Creek and back to SLC.

Sights:

Escalante, Bryce Canyon, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon, Vegas, The Salt Flats, and quite a few more.

Two Harley Road Kings.

I'm going to hazard a guess that (seeing as this has been the case for most of this week) DPD has lost my new helmet.

Starting to re-lag the loft and board it out whilst I'm at it. What an existing life I have 😂

Tip of the day.....if your drive slopes like mine and gets moss growing on it then you know the perils of riding a bike down a slippery slope.

The cheapest way to kill moss quickly is bog standard washing powder. Sprinkle on the path and within a couple of days the moss is dead.

That's one of my weekend jobs.

If you don't mind poisoning the ground, salt is even cheaper than that. Or get a yard brush and sharp sand.

I tried salt. It works but washing powder is quicker on moss.

Had a massive wardrobe sort out this afternoon.  I have so much stuff I forgot I even had.  69 tops, 25 dresses, 22 skirts, 20 bottoms, 10 leggings 8 pairs of jeans, 5 bikini's, 3 swimsuits, 5 PJ's 4 onesies.  I don't have as many shoes though only 8 pairs.  Probably going to sell a load on vinted and buy some new things from vinted.

If you were in my wardrobe and saw it was a mess, why didn't you help sort it out for me Onesea? 🙂
