Very good morning everybody :thumb:

that's the Pan with a new insurance. One Call, just under £88 including UK/EU breakdown cover.

Getting ready for touring to Croatia this summer 😎

That’s a good price. Who with, if you don’t mind letting us in on the info’?

It's in my post...

One Call is the broker. I have the Shadow with them already so the price is quite good and have a £40 bonus on renewal of the shadow (Aug) if staying with them.

Keep in mind that living in the middle of nowhere in Scotland is a great bonus and brings the premium down.

Unless you're asking who I'm going on holidays with, than the answer is by myself unless I find someone crazy enough to come along :thumb:

That last would have been “with whom?” 😉😁

I’m hoping that, as we live in a rural area, we might have some of the same insurance benefits.

When we moved from a city centre to a rural postcode the insurance went up as rural crime is rife and rural roads statistically have a higher rate of accidents.

My bike insurance went up when we moved from Norwich. I’ve done a few searches about crime in this area and there’s very little. The local cricket club being broken into last year is the only thing I can see in a 3 mile radius in the last year. I can’t imagine Norwich being so crime free.

Rural crime depends on how close you are to.big urban areas. When my parents lived in Herefordshire back in the day the locals were plagued by thieves from Birmingham. Where you are I'm guessing the toerags are from Merseyside or Greater Manchester?

We’re 2 1/2 hrs from each, on a good day. Lots of much easier pickings closer to home I’d guess. Newcastle is an hour away and would be the more likely origin.

That's placeist, most folk from Newcastle can hardly be bothered to Rob anything further than the next street, they think Hexham requires inoculation and passport 😁

That’s what they thought in Norfolk…. Passport control at the border (Thetford) keeping the hoards out, but the sneaky outsiders built a bypass and now Norfolk has been invaded by general non-norfolkians.

Just in the search for balance the rest of the world is non-norfolkians and can deal with hilly terrain.

Cheers

There’s someone who’s never tried running up Ketts Hill, Grapes Hill, Gurney Rd or Gas Hill. 😂 Norwich is surprisingly hilly considering Norfolk’s so flat.

We had a cycling gang who had a week every year doing a glorified pub crawl on bikes. One guy was a beast on the flat but just couldn't ride up hills so he organised a week on Norfolk. It nearly killed him when we found out how hilly Norfolk is.

I used to cycle to and from work (Martham to Norwich for 6 months then Acle to Norwich). I can confirm it’s hilly in a “long drag” kinda way. There’s a one up from Thorpe End heading east that I hated. The road being bumpy didn’t help.

Evening, not looking forward to the ride to Colwyn Bay tomorrow - weather forecast is 💩. I don't mind riding in the rain, its keeping away from the speeding knobheads who think they can aquaplane along the A55.

Yeah, I've got a ride tomorrow from Barnard Castle to Gloucestershire, not really looking forward to it. Then on Tuesday I'll be going over to South London to lay the bike up until I get home again.

I try to avoid the A55 as much as possible. No fun at all.

Me too. When needs must though. I need to be there for 9.30am and its a 75 mile ride. My return journey will avoid the A55, you'll probably know these roads, I will pick up the A470 - A5 - Llangollen then make my way home form there :thumb:
