National Motorcyclists Council | NMC UK (uknmc.org)

A new body to represent us as riders has been created, with support from all the big biking advocacy groups:

BMF welcomes launch of National Motorcyclists Council » British Motorcyclists Federation - The BMF is the UK's largest motorcycle membership organisation and we aim to promote and protect motorcycling

Great news, as far as I am concerned! :thumb:

the more people on our side the better

Exactly so. Also bringing together the big groups to speak as one will hopefully amplify the impact.

Really pleased with this development.

As an ex MP do you know if Lembit Opik has a role in the new organisation or is he staying put with MAG?

I only ask as given his previous job he might be useful.

Cheers

Very good question, Ian. I don't know but will ask. MAG also have the excellent Colin Brown.

Good to see, especially when organisations are willing to work together.  Refreshing to see well organised groups like this willing to support us through representation, give us a voice and make a stand ✌️

That sounds eminently sensible and I wish them all the luck in the world.

I have a feeling they will need it lol.

EEERRRMMMM ... Why do we need another group to dilute our effectiveness, especially with our dwindeling numbers .... ??🤔

From the OP I got the impression it was aimed at bringing all biker organisations under one roof as it were and to give us a coherent voice in the public sphere.
