But, insurance is expensive nowadays, that's like 80% of what people care about I joined back in 2009, been off 2 wheels for a while but just picked up a heap of junk to get back out on the road. Everything's too expensive these days. Is it still the same people running this forum? Good to see its still going 2 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted December 1, 2023 Posted December 1, 2023 New members? Hello! . welcome back to two wheels. A few missing through one means or another. Helmets and clothing has gotten alot better. Prices gone up on Fuel, bikes, tyres, insurance, parts etc. Chinese stuff ( bike market manufacturer's) has grown in numbers, gotten abit better but not that much cheaper to buy. A few members have been putting on good project threads up recently for winter reading! Might give ideas and hints? 1 Quote

With Jaffa cakes* running a close second. *Technically not a biscuit, the defining factor being that when left to go stale a biscuit goes soft whereas a cake goes hard. (Not that Jaffa cakes have ever lasted long enough to go stale round here.) Jammy Dodgers also feature. Rich Tea biscuits are not in favour. Discussion of Garibaldi biscuits is banned as it leads to acts of physical violence and people falling out. 3 Quote
Fender1515 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 So my main life changing issue "Where have all the ginger creams gone" since moving up Norf, finding a regular, dependable supply has been a constant challenge, and one I am not winning! Quote

A lot of people have come and gone, with one or two flounces that I always seem to miss I think the last time I saw you was on a ride out with Phil Young around 2014? I was on a blue FZ6 then, waiting for my insurance to go down after a pair of CBR600s got pinched. Now on an SV650 as I spend most of my money on projects. What old bike have you picked up? Quote

When we had an extension built Mrs JRH got biscuits etc in for the builders to have at tea breaks, one packet was Garibaldi. By the time the extension was finished after 4 months. The Garabaldi pack had not been started. 1 1 1 Quote

(He still is) Other biscuits were provided so I wasn’t surprised. I did say why have you bought those. Anyway the hobnobs, Chocky digestives etc were all rapidly consumed. Cost a small fortune in tea coffe milk and biscuits 2 Quote
