  1. Euro Jeopardy'. Starting to think its going to be too late. So my dates for heading off on the bike are being pushed back even further. Its now looking like the 18th September before I can head off to either the Vosges or Eifel/Black Forest. I'm my worst enemy, leaving everything until last minute. Need to get my act together, I've left it until the first week of Sept before and enjoyed the wine festivals, but never left it this late. Here's hoping for an Indian summer. Going it alone again , wife will spending her time between work and minding the grad children.
  2. In many French Cities it is now mandatory. I have read if there is a classified pollution leak (as the French call it) in Lille, any vehicle without a sticker or above Euro 4 will be banned, as for just transiting through on the motorway or bypassing is a different matter. I am planning to go to Strasbourg who require a Crit Air.
  3. @Copycat73 Nice pictures, how many days did you go for.
  4. It used be be on Tuesdays, unsure what day it is on now, or even till when.
  5. As long as the owner likes it. I think it looks bloody awful.
  6. Embarrassed to say, it was probably 16 years ago when I was last there. We used to go to the Hen & Chickens in Melling too. I must do better but I don't get out much these days.
  7. I used to go to the Scotch Piper years ago. Are they still doing brews and burgers? I recall a strong police bike presence some years ago due to the fact bikers and their wheelie antics on the road at the front.
  8. Yep. My 2006 Toyota 3.0L V6 gas guzzler is compliant, but I have no intension to drive anywhere near the shithole Londinium

    Ear plugs

I have some custom fit guards and IMO they are Shite. I don't like the plugs that completely fill your ear. I found the Auritech ones the most comfortable and quietest. Unfortunately I cant find them, so now use the Auritech universal.

    Yes!

    Brilliant news @rennie
  11. I have very little to no tolerance for drama, stupidity, and fake people.
  12. I like a good map me, especially the Michelin Regional ones
  13. Managed to dig out the old faithful map. I will be mulling over this in the next few weeks, seeking out routes and hopefully an area for a base for a few days
  14. Bloody marvellous, put many to shame, considering you spend most of your time on the ocean
  15. Don't ride after dark
  16. Fitted the mounting plate for the 43L Bumot Top Box on the 890. I think that will be enough luggage capacity for a week in Euroland.
  17. As good as it sounds, I know my wife wouldn't haul her ass around Europe in a campervan, only to set up camp for me to rock up later on the bike.
  18. One of my regular haunts years ago, in an evening, we would ride up to Lancaster and then over Quermore. There used to be a brew van up there, right near one of your pictures, and just down the road there is a nice little café.
  19. Bit late but all the best.
  20. I too zip my two piece clothing together that can zip together, I remember my old man shouting 'tuck thi shirt in or thall get cowd'. Likewise my mesh jackets and jeans don't have the zips. I know the risk.
  21. Trying to plan a September trip. Each evening I sit with the laptop looking at places/countries, but for some reason, I just cant be arsed trying to organise anything. Anyone else do this or are you well organised.
  22. What is your USP. What features of your product distinguishes from others already on the market.
  23. I thought they were really good, our local lad Rick Astley played a belter too, or so I thought. It was also heartwarming to hear the crowd sing with Lewis Capaldi, showing empathy and support to a young man struggling with his mental health. I thought Lizzo stole the show
