  1. Greater Manchester Police are offering £20 off their BikeSafe course if you book before 22/05/2023. If you're interested, use discount code GMP20. They don't usually discount as it is heavily subsidised as it is, but well worth a brew and a chat at the veterans café near AJ Bell Stadium.
  2. That's just for such an iconic adventure bike.
  3. You could use something similar to this, connects to the battery and the little blue pin connects to the switch live without cutting into the wiring. 6 Switched and 2 live. Plenty of cheap variants on the web.
  4. NC750 here too. Never ridden one mind, but by all accounts excellent all rounder
  5. Something similar near me, however there is a light on the left, white stop line then give way lines a few yards ahead, with is in mind, I would just give way at the junction, but stop at the lights at this one.
  6. I like to do the bikesafe course every couple of years, sort of brings me back in line and better to listen to their advice, from the horses mouth so to say, rather than a key board champion.
  7. Another 100 miles done, another 100 to go, then I can get the 1st service out of the way. I need to purchase one of those clip on windshield clip on thingy's before any tour

    Winter Storage

Don't do winter storage, Ride it, wash it & dry it, simples. Oh, but if you do, clean it, dry it and lather it in ACF50 or XCP and connect to Optimate
  9. Been for a ride over the 4 shire's this evening, Lancashire, Cheshire, Staffordshire, Derbyshire. Covered approx 100Miles. Sadly there was a motorcycle accident on the A54. I hope the rider is OK. Headed back over the Cat n Fiddle, great views of Jodrell Bank.
  10. I was there last Sunday. Not a bad café, not keen on J&S, I cant put my finger on it, but I thought a lot of the stock appeared meh.
  11. We have family coming over from Canada . They are staying with us for the week before heading off to somewhere in Europe . I will be delighted to see them however; its a weeks leave I really couldn't afford to take
  12. 18 stone 9lb to 16 Stone 11lb, its getting tough. Struggling to get to 16 Stone. I would like to hit the target before my Euro trip, but its bloody hard going. I'm thinking Dulcolax
  13. Three out of five phones went off. I don't believe for one minute this government is competent enough or have the resources to prepare emergency plans and deal with what/which emergencies.
  14. 246 Miles in and used 18l of fuel. By my reckoning, I'm getting 62 MPG but then again, it is the honeymoon period. Obtained a quote for the 1st service, £££ varies from £189 - £210, are the days gone when is was roughly the price of the oil and filter for the 1st service.
  15. Our council, for the what they are worth, have been pro active in combating fly tipping. However, they do take all waste, asbestos, tyres etc but plasterboard, the amount of checks prior takes a forever and it is banned from landfill
  16. The forecast is mixed on Sunday, so I need to get out on the bike, desperate to get some miles, so I can get the first service completed before any trips are organised. Come rain or shine, I think I will be heading out, unsure of which direction or county yet.
  17. I tried looking into doing something with my old gear and kit that the kids have out grown, the only thing I found was Ebay charity sales and then select the charity 'Two wheels for life'. You still have to pack and post, Just like any other Ebay sale. Wrong I know, but I haven't done anything with them yet. I
  18. I put them on the 1290 before heading off to France last year, 1600 miles later, looked like they had never been turned, excellent in the wet, well IMO.
  19. Ah well, I suppose its Cheshire, county of the wealthy, unlike here, if the local tip didn't take them the local Knuckle draggers will set them alight and roll them down the streets.
  20. Norway has to be one of my Favourite countries. We did the Fjords back in 2016, my highlight was the Briksdal Glacier and Flam Railway
  21. The wife and lad are with Three (My experience with Three is shite) on the old Three deal she had data roaming abroad, upgraded phone due to technical issues, they then changed the contract and all new contracts you have to pay extra for data abroad, I think she was duped out of the old contract, my lad who is on the old Three contract pre 2020 can use his data. I was given the wife's old I-phone 11. I soon gave it back I'll stick with my shitty Android on O2, £12 for 20GB and can use abroad. I have no desire to pay ££££ a month for a phone. I have never used more than 4GB a month
  22. I usually just boil water for a cup of tea. I'm a tea belly. But do take a small pan, if I get the urge to cook something, I do take my own Vodka though. Last year in Bayeux, I stayed at a very basic site, just a cabin with 10 cubicles for ones ablutions. Each evening at the front of the site, a food van would arrive, Pizza's, Kebabs, local dishes etc. @dynax erm, are you off camping somewhere
  23. Our Local Tip take tyres, have you checked your local council waste recycling centre, if they do, just have the info on your phone ready to challenge.
