Bender Posted November 20, 2020 Posted November 20, 2020 I'm helping my dad sat, he has made some new gates for his rear garden entrance, they are a bit heavy for him to hang on his own so he wants a hand, he is 90 so he's not done too bad making them, sorting the posts and welding the brackets up. 6 Quote

learningtofly Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 I've had a lazy morning but I need to check my oil and tyres and then clean and lube my chain. It's not looking particularly inviting out there, either Quote

Bender Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Well the gates went up OK, he pretty much had everything spot on, as a reward I was then sent to the Chip shop to buy him lunch, (not sure how that works) where I'm currently waiting and at high risk from covidiots. It's not all bad though he let me keep a half used cutting disk for my troubles, gota love old folk. 1 Quote
Guest Swagman Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Well just took bike out for a quick run to keep the carbs from blocking, not to bad out on the bike as long as you’re wrapped up well.🏍🏍 Quote

Quick cuppa and then back out to clean and lube the chain (the latter with gear oil, should anyone be even vaguely interested). Quote

Mr Fro Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Just been going through the garage to see what bike bits I can flog off. Already got shot of an iffy fuel tank and a brake disc. 1 Quote
Bender Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 I spent the latter part of the day chopping up wood To fill the woodstore, and remove the pile of wood blocking the bike in. The left side was empty before I started, I'm now drinking for medical reasons 5 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Cool wood store you’ve got there. Big chopper too. Quote

Slowlycatchymonkey Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 Don’t logs arrive in bags already chopped? 1 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted November 21, 2020 Posted November 21, 2020 I fitted a new oven for our daughter. They wanted £90 to swap a three core cable and insert two screws. I undercut them with a panini and slice of caramel shortcake. 2 Quote
