Mississippi Bullfrog Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 (edited) Progress was made, but I couldn't find a lay-by to stop in. The entrance to an old quarry had to suffice. Edited July 8, 2021 by Mississippi Bullfrog 3 Quote

At least the view is nice where I stopped. Just for the weekend or will they be there next week? also what are they doing? resurfacing? I am heading that way on Tuesday Quote
Fish Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 I wanted to go new bike shopping but have to take a family member to hospital for a scan. Quote

I am heading that way on Tuesday I've no idea what they are doing as there was no sign of any work happening. The scale of it suggests it might be a few days so it might be worth checking before going that way. I might have been unlucky as I met a group of bikers who'd come down the Ruthin route and they'd not been held up. I think the guys on the road I was on either messed up or had a radio failure. 1 Quote
Fish Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 When I did a Scottish trip a few years back I found the A86 towards Dalwhinnie was a fantastic road Maybe next time I'll be doing it on a bike and not a car. Quote
oldgrump Posted July 8, 2021 Posted July 8, 2021 Made a effort to stop in a layby on the moors the other evening . 5 Quote
