Big Ride New bike

Hey guys, here's a quick one for you all.

I'm a newbie to riding and have just been a pillion on my boyfriend's bike this past year.

We've got a new motorbike and are doing our first long distance ride together, but I have noticed with this new bike I have a really bad subconscious fear of how quickly the bike speeds up. ( Probably because our other one was a bit slower on speeding up) but I don't want to panic on our distance ride when we hit any kind of motorways.

I was wondering if you guys have any suggestions on how I approach this because it's bugging me.

My wife was similar with the new bike I have got. She was a bit nervous for some reason but once out on the bike a lot of it was just overthinking it. 

 

Maybe speak to the other half about it and tell him to take it steady

Nah, never had a young lady take up my offer of a pillion either - Mrs Mickly just used to punch me in the Kidneys if I got a bit beyond a speed she considered acceptable.
