Mawsley Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Perfect number of bikes = n, where n=n+1 So, if you could have one more, or the reappearance of an old one, what would it be? I still hanker for another old 70s-80s boxer or Guzz, but if I got to call it - an R90S, in sexy orange. 1 Quote
Simon Davey Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 I had a Z1300 for a few years, I'd love another. Or the CBX I briefly had, that was a stonking machine. 2 Quote
husoi Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 An electric bike that could do 250 miles on one charge and charge the battery in 15min while I stretch my legs. 3 Quote
Fender1515 Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 I still hanker after another Norton Dominator, I had the 650 pre unit, the bike was amazing, I got intimate with every nut and bolt, I am not sure if all my fond memories are because of the bike, or the crack we had as a group of bikers. We would turn up at Portsmouth and catch the ferry to France, £20 in your pocket and a tent strapped on, for a long weekend, was a good result. After the Domi, it all went JAP !! 2 Quote
Fiddlesticks Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 A goldwing would be nice, but a bit of a one trick pony. Quote
Nick the wanderer Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 I keep looking at my GSXR1100 in the shed, i'd like to get that back on the road. 1 1 Quote

Just sort it into lots of smaller jobs. It isn't quite so daunting that way. Try to get it on the road for next summer. It would be a great attention getter at bike meets. 1 Quote

Cheers Ian It's been off the road over a decade (Where did that go?) Was running, spun the back tyre up, put it in the shed, took the wheel out ready for a new tyre and never touched it since. Quote
Ian Frog Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Perfect candidate for winter project I would have said. Cheers Ian 1 Quote
RideWithStyles Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 If I could have one more bike/vechicle it would be one/what ever my wife could ride. . If it was solely for me I’d probably go electric like a livewire or something like that… Quote
bonio Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Beginning to hanker after a mid-weight go-any-distance-anywhere bike like a Tenere perhaps or an F650GS. Trying to unhanker tho. Quote
husoi Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 I would do it for you if I wasn't busy with loads of different things at the moment. Just for the fun of doing it 1 Quote
skyrider Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 yes i had two of those but the one i would like back is my 1978 rd 250e 2 Quote
Steve_M Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Nostalgic choice - Honda CX500 Eurosport. My 1st “big” bike and a great introduction to the world of motorbikes. I’d love to own a 1998 VFR800fi again, being a sportily comfortable do-most-things well bike. 1 Quote

Cheers Ian When I say it's in a shed it is just that, it's dry and secure but no room to move. I get very jealous when I see your garage workshop set up. If I had that I could tinker away to my hearts content. I'll get there one day, it's in my retirement plan. 1 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 I've got a 500 and a 1200. I think I'd go for something like a 125 for pottering about on. There is a certain charm to small engines. I think I'd go for a VanVan. 1 Quote

Davidtav Posted November 8, 2024 Posted November 8, 2024 (edited) The new Royal Enfield 650 classic looks interesting. I could imagine having one of those as a second bike. https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-bikes/2024/november/royal-enfield-classic-650/ Edited November 8, 2024 by Davidtav Quote
