3. My contract is due up and I am planning on going SIM Free how ever I was just wondering are there any real NEW developments in Smart phone Tech? 5G - Irrelevant for me living in the forest your lucky if you get above 3g 1/2 the time.. Cameras - Some are better than others for my use most will be good enough, Finger Print recognition Face recognition Edge Technology - NOT for me mine barely goes a day without being dropped NFC - Almost standard today For Android: 4 Gig RAM MINUMUM 100 gig memory (for me). Anything else you would recommend...
4. I can see Pinlocks logic air hitting seal at speed could force air under Pinlock. Also guessing for air to force under Pinlock you would have to have it wide open at speed. Not just cracked a little to demist your glasses... I have used Pinlock for 5 years not known this issue exists... Hat to HJC's never had and issue..
5. As long as she lets you continue to ride you got it right You have passed the biggest test....
6. I am going to say thank you guys... Presently this post is the highlight of my birthday. We had planned tomorrow, to have my birthday party as much as you can with the resrictions, my daughter myself and my partner. A little bit of over kill required we missed my daughters birthday as we could not see her due to Covid, in fact I had no real contact for over 2 months during Covid. I know that should not happen, then allot should not happen. Today I checked on times to collect my daughter, it was then I found out the day before my daughters mum had decided to stop access until Sunday Evening because she has a "Family Lunch". So all plans bookings cancelled, so indeed this post is the nicest surprise of my Birthday. THANK YOU
7. Sounds like a perfect job for a Vape, big clouds.
8. Thanks Bender and Mickly thats a new trick on me..
9. I have a triumph that can run on 2 or 3 different size tyres. Have been advised quite firmly by a reputable part supplier that fitting tyre other than stated in manufactures specification will invalidate my insurance. To the point he implied this including brand/ tyre to original OEM spec never mind size. Edit to add: I bought the tyre size I wanted how am I to know it was not the last owner who changed tyre size and I just bought the same again..
10. If you do Just don't message your misses "Crashed bike, phone £ucked so don't call. - Bike ok gone for ride back later .." It does not go down well..
11. That reminds me of one of pushbike episodes. It's the 4th week of autumn term, I had destroyed my watch and blazer coming off pushbike in 2 previous incidents that term. The previous term I had cut open a shirt on a branch I still have the scar on my back then there was the matter of the snapped off a pedal. At some point I was put infront of head master for over taking the deputy head going to school. Long and short of it my mum told me if I crashed my bike again I would not be allowed on it again... Well we had steep drive at the top I always flicked my foot over the saddle to go of at the bottom... Wet leaves on concrete on the corner as I slowed. You got it down on my arse I went with a crack. Some how ending up with my bike round my neck, quick check, blazer undamaged, watch & bag undamaged. Buckled bike wheel, not an issue I can fix them. What was that crack? My frigging Ankle... Luckily convinced mum that as scars and marks round my neck, demonstrated I was not on my bike and did not crash my bike when I broke my ankle... I could carry on riding. Although looking back it might of been 6 weeks of school run, because of son on crutches... That put me back on road...
12. I am not certain what your bike is but, both my bikes have grips like these... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/373224971086 Yes they are cheap but they work and the control is placed on handlebars. Easy to adjust and no ugly control box's. They are 5 and 3 years old, the only problem I had was when Triumph did not plug them in properly Edit to add: they do not get as hot as Oxford grips, when I first got them I thought this would be problem. Conversely my hands never got hot enough to sweat, so stayed warmer.. I added these over the top for comfort as I like a bigger grip. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164373891472 If your commuting you could consider hassle bar muffs to keep the warmth in. I have never found a need for these but one bike has handle bar guards. https://www.google.com/shopping/product/14468376882241732061?q=ryde+handlebar+muffs&biw=360&bih=544&tbs=vw:l,ss:44&sxsrf=ALeKk00b_ktvMisTaSXlCCywXo2nkxV16g:1601656364738&prds=epd:17145889307026124893,cdl:1,prmr:1,cs:1 I have found without heated grips no glove is good enough, you keep hands dry but not warm. For dry hands I have found Gortex is best. I also like and inner and outer cuffs. Other wise water goes up sleave or rind into glove when stopped.. although they are a PITA To put on.

Hello!

Have you got an app? Actual questions and videos, just keep practicing until your confident...
14. Does that mean me and my dirty bikes are not welcome
15. I guess he beats the nob blowing all his grass cuttings to cover the road today. When I pointed out his folly, he told me he was going to finish blowing them into the ditch across the road. No wonder that road always floods...
16. Than you for all the birthday wishes.... Now for the confession It seems when I joined I did not actually give my correct birthdate Sadly the front forks for the bike have not arrived yet (my birthday present to me), so we where not out on the bike. Yesterday I spent full of a cold, on a 7 mile hike round the forest which the the dog loved. He managed to find a herd of deer to chase approximately every mile.... The first time we have seen him chase them on open ground, he got friggin close , so much so my misses and I where working out how to smuggle a dead deer of the forest for my birthday dinner My Monday the weather is weather kinder than forecast or my forks arrive and I can spend the day rebuilding the front end of the bike. Edit to add my Birthday is Monday so hence the waffle and want of bike forks....
17. Hi welcome and I am sure there is.. Hell there are even people who buy and like Chinese bikes mentioning no names XTreme

19. Actually rush the wedding I have been engaged for 10 years. I have several times suggested dates whilst numbers are restricted
20. It's it just I phone 11? Sounds to me like something every one should be aware of, vibrations on boats motoring, planes cars/ trucks. Is it the phone or the mount that's not fit for service?
21. Glad you enjoyed the camping, sounds like you got that bit sorted . Give it a few years you will be wondering who was the daft one....
22. E-Facebook and Gumtree are my favourites. Its a waiting game if you have priced it to low it will get snapped up if its priced right it will take a month or 2. I have noticed this with Cars and bikes. Not so long a go I was (told to) sell 2 of my bikes one was on the market for 2 months the other for 6 weeks I could of sold them both in 3 days in the end but did not like a buyer he kept haggling so I kept the bike Be a hard seller Cash or Bank transfer not Credit Card. If they want you to hold the bike till next week you can book a viewing but if I sell it before, I am sorry. If they want to bring deposit tomorrow that's fine if I have not sold it before, Agree a time they loose deposit if not removed a day, a week, a month or whatever, Don't let them photograph the Document ID numbers they can change ownership on line, or tax it ready for collection then change there mind at which point YOU have a nightmare. Look at every enquiry and think can they ask that about ANY item Age condition location? If they as about fork seals or sprockets they are more likely to be genuine... If they say they are at sea ask what they do and type of ship (if they are they wont shut up about it), otherwise ask about country and them but generally I would need SERIOUS EVIDENCE.
23. If he's looking for a unskilled work/ business I don't know how profitable they are but enough people seem to be charging enough to make a living down here: Dog Walker - £15 per hour solo or £10 for groups (normally 4-6 dogs). Extra for public holidays weekends and such like... We living in the friggin New Forest and you pay some one to go and walk your dog where you have spent stupid money to live. Window Cleaner - Try and get one and they are booked up for at least 2 weeks, from what I can work out they are an interesting bunch. Atleast one of our local ones one likes to service any wife' that happen to be home, another had been spotted on Gaydar wearing a wig and his dress. I don't know if they charge for the extras There are still several more to choose from... Cleaning Gutters and facias is another: Quoted £350 pound for a job I did in a morning. - Apparently people pay silly money for cleaning roofs. Gardening: £20 - 25 an hour Start in the spring with just mowing lawns, then it grows can you cut the hedge, prune bushes, paint the shed, clean the gutters, build a patio, repair the fence from my understanding by winter you should be set up enough to work through winter without to many problems. Handy Man or Man with a Van, ideally with waste disposal licence.
24. There is a special thread to contain jokes of that quality... https://www.themotorbikeforum.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=38588 Let's not let them leak it
25. Not a bad choice, IMHO as you can tell taking apart carbs is not something I would do lightly. If the guy cleaning them knows what he's doing, or you get lucky they might go on and bike run fine. This is what happened when mine got sonic cleaned for me (I tried tinkering but screw heads started to round ) . If not they might need tuning and balancing however if the bike runs a bit rough you might get away with ridding it to someone who can do the tuning bit for you. How ever don't forget carbs is one bit of a big picture, air filters fuel lines and filters all need to be in good condition.
