  1. I've no personal experience but would also like to know as if they were available as a replacement would possibly fit one.
  2. If I was buying an Ion battery I think I'd invest in an appropriate charger. At least then I'd have some redress if it went tits up.
  3. Don't think that applies in this case. Picketing their offices yes, but choosing to take your business elsewhere? Can't see that. Lobbying people to do something provided you do it legally would also be fine even if most lobbyists are even more slimy than politicians- looking at you David Cameron.
  4. Why do some manufacturers ruin the aesthetics of bikes with just one small detail that could be easily changed? Mine was cursed with a hideous oem end can. Easy enough to change but still.....
  5. The trouble with a right to protest is that all to often it has become a right to riot. This proposed Bill isn't necessarily the best but if violent protests are not curbed then we are looking at water cannons like many EU countries or rubber bullets. We've used them in Northern Ireland but not yet on the mainland. I'm not sure I like the drift we have but don't see any other solution.
  6. I thought I did.? As to safe space? Who gives a toss?
  7. Okay then, as Mississippi and Geofferz said. No biggy really.
  8. Antivax- completely f**king brain dead, not just for covid but everything else too. Events in Bristol- bunch of rent a mob anarchists which Bristol can usually muster. Tossers the lot of em. The Great Reset - mythology and beloved of conspiracy loons. Life is too short to wade through their tripe. However if its true can I volunteer antivaxers and Bristol mobs for being reset? Just my opinion.
  9. As I said other than the basic geography and genetics which make me European I have no feeling of being European emotionally. I certainly wouldn't identify with the EU, as that particular political construct I dislike a lot. If I travel abroad for pleasure (back in the mythical past) I prefer to go further afield. I do like mini breaks to various European cities though.

It'll be interesting to see how it all pans out. My employers are already making noises about if I have to go into quarantine when I get home it will be at their expense, not count as leave but won't earn leave. Of course I've still got to get away which is looking like end of April now so that's my summer gone without a trace.
  11. Guessing from your way of using words that you are not UK based so you need to check your local laws. Different places (states, provinces, countries) often have dramatically different rules with consequences to match.
  12. More Chinese shite. It would be nice if they could at least design something themselves that looked a bit original. Still be shite though.
  13. Holywood is just along the coast from Bangor NI if I remember right. Hollywood in california is the one filled with woke dickheads along with the twin in Edinburgh.
  14. Usually a good idea to read the manual first. At least that's what I tell my engineers who sadly seem to believe that being super engineers and all that manuals are for us lesser mortals not blessed with their talent. Sadly often ends in tears with bits of metal where they aren't supposed to be.
  15. My parents are both still alive. They are in their 90's and not at all happy. Seen no family for months.
  16. Hereabouts plod is obviously not stopping bikers. Just knocking on the doors of grannies living in sheltered housing at 10pm cos they were reported as having cups of tea in their shared garden in the afternoon. Firstly: what the f**k are the police even thinking when they pull this kind of shit?! Secondly: what kind of sad bast*rd even thinks about reporting this to plod in the first place? Personally I'd not piss on them if they were on fire. I'm going to have to go and have a lie down.
  17. 70 miles on Cotswolds B roads dodging horses and their poo. De-stresses me nicely. Saw lots of bikes out, more each time. I guess it's a combination of warmer, dryer weather and lockdown fatigue. Folks are just getting fed up with it and pushing the boundaries as much as they can.
  18. Went for a walk although with my wife it's more like a TAB. If you don't manage at least 3 miles an hour you're not trying. Anyway while staggering back to the car saw a new Triumph Rocket. Sounded magnificent but bloody hell it's big.
  19. Hate denso tape with a vengeance. Had a few ships where wires had been wrapped in it. Unfortunately did a good job of sealing saltwater in with the result the wires failed, in once case catastrophically which could have caused a death but by pure good fortune didn't.
  20. British and didn't get down far enough to see the others. Probably don't count as human and not sure about European other than in the basic geographical or genetic sense.
  21. Don't do Facebook and everything I've heard makes me grateful I don't and makes it less likely I ever will.
  22. Here it's all bloody horses. Very horsey country round here. I'm just a pleb though.
  23. I start the engine before I push the bike backwards up to the point where I can turn and ride away. A couple of minutes? At a long stop on a railway crossing I'll switch off to save fuel and if its a warm day to stop my arse catching fire. As I live at the end of a narrow cul de sac don't think I'm likely to be pulled by any officious git and all the pushing and idling is on private land anyway.
  24. Gloucestershire isn't much better especially on minor roads.
