It's beyond my skill level. And me fathers buggered now. If the bloke who turns up is under 40 I'd start to worry a little. Even as a kid when I had to go on jobs with my dad (get out of me mams hair) I used to think, why the hell are you putting that lead in your mouth....
husoi
Finally managed to mount the jetwasher's motor onto the air compressor. Then found out that the piston is a load of shaite and now that everything would be fine, ht damn thing decided not to work Will have to replace the piston bit with something else. That's what you get for buying cheap crap...
Steve_M
I’ve bought myself a table saw with the money my mum sent me for my birthday, so spent much of Saturday collecting it from Penrith and assembling it. It’s already come in handy for trimming pieces to size for the new airing cupboard.

Much easier with leadlocks, I have only had a couple of lead to copper joins to do in my working life, luckily my old man taught me how to do them when I was around 8 or 9

I'm Def well over 40 though

In reality how long does it take to get from Edinburgh to Dundee on the bike. (No Rossi but no speed limit sticker either) Daughters on about going to Dundee University. I know how long it will take me to get to Edinburgh but no further. Panicking to be honest as I need to know if the shit hits the fan, timescales. Via M90 will be the quickest way and would take around 1 1/2hr Via the A92 would be around the same time and distance and more scenic trip

rennie
No Skype/karaoke this weekend! We've taxed the campervan, I put it on charge this morning and have just got it running and moved it (only on the drive). We're going to have a day out on Sunday and meet The Norfolk Nutters somewhere about half way between us for a picnic (overnight stays still not allowed but at least we'll actually see them) I've got the week off so hope to get out on the bike at some point (weather not looking good) I already have cider!

Mississippi Bullfrog
Yesterday was a working party at the sailing club, mainly trimming trees and having a huge bonfire. There are bits of me aching I didn't know I had. The other fun bit was getting all the mowers running as the garage had flooded so the fuel tanks were all full of water. Ahh, then the environmentalists will be after you for burning all that wood. All that carbon and particulates not to mention global warming. rennie
The camper van let us down ! The battery is holding some charge just not quite enough to start it reliably. I've ordered a new 1. We ended up going to Norfolk in Sue's car and having a socially distanced picnic in their garden It was good to actually see someone again! long way to go there and back in 1 day though
Mississippi Bullfrog
We're having a small gathering of six for a BBQ. Fortunately the weather is sunny if a bit cool.
