The camper van let us down !

The battery is holding some charge just not quite enough to start it reliably.

I've ordered a new 1.

We ended up going to Norfolk in Sue's car and having a socially distanced picnic in their garden :thumb:

It was good to actually see someone again!

long way to go there and back in 1 day though

I hope you had your passport ready at the Suffolk border...

Me too, it was in 1987 and my mates encouraged me to go with them, I was so bored I went home before half time :thumb:

My father once took me to a football match and we didn't even make it to half time. Something about me calling out to them to put some effort in and stop behaving like little ballet dancers.....

:classic_biggrin: They live in Diss! So it's sort of Suffolk/Norfolk anyway:thumb:

We're sort of locals anyway, Sue was born there and I've been there a lot

There are a few good roads around there...

Actually I rather enjoyed it . I had a pie ,  that was rather ordinary , and some Bovril . It was a floodlit , Boxing Day match in which Coventry City beat Arsenal 3 - 2 . I must have sensed that it would never get better than that , apart from when they won the FA Cup , because I never went again .  The information below is actually incorrect . It was at Highfield road .

I used to go to watch Aston Villa’s home games in the late 1970’s. Not all ‘cos we were a bit short of money back then. It was a family afternoon out with my daughter and (now ex-) wife.

I can’t stand the game now*, though I do follow the Villa’s fortunes from afar.

*the consequences being the willing parent and running a kids’ team for a few years.

Great ride but only 100 miles.

Tea cakes were lush though.

Ahh , the traditional food of Scotland . This is the sight that greets you as you enter Gretna Services . All the supplies you need for a week's stay . I've set off on many a ride fuelled by strong coffee and a few Caramel Wafers .
