Stu Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Saw this on twitter and as usual some people are judging the bikers actions! What's your thoughts? Quote
Six30 Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 judging the biker ?? what cause he didn't turn round and chase the idiot driving the coach. 5 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 Apart from driving on the wrong side of the road I thought he handled that rather well. 2 4 Quote
rennie Posted March 16, 2021 Posted March 16, 2021 I thought he did pretty well! Could easily have panicked and there would have been a much worse outcome 2 Quote
S-Westerly Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 WTF was the coach driver thinking?! The biker handled it really well and managed to avoid being killed so a winner for him. Suspect his trousers may have needed attention afterwards. 2 Quote
NeilM Posted March 17, 2021 Posted March 17, 2021 Did a good job Far too scenic for Ull. Can't blame @Stufor this one. 1 1 Quote

The rider did well to react, the coach driver was a nob. The rider would have been slightly better placed to deal with the situation if his positioning had been more Roadcraft influenced, perhaps.... 1 Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 Rewatching it again, I'm impressed the rider had capacity to use the horn. At that stage I'd be so absorbed in avoiding the collision that hitting the horn is the last thing I'd think of. Of course on my better days I'd have gone for the gap between the coach and the truck. 1 Quote

manxie49 Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 (edited) FFS!! Fair play to the rider, kept his shit together and avoided what could have been a serious RTC ..... Hard to believe that bus drivers are allegedly classed as "professional drivers" on insurance proposals, there was f--k all professional about that stunt, don't understand why some people were judging the biker?? job well done on his part.... fastbob Posted March 18, 2021 Posted March 18, 2021 If the numptys in the cars had overtaken the lorry one at a time miles back the coach driver may not have resorted to such a long and difficult overtaking manoeuvre . Quote

Double yellow lines , so im presuming no over taking, cars, bike bus whatever, what should of happened if anything is lorry driver pull over if he could to let build up of traffic pass. And it didn’t look like he was riding a BMW RT so that makes it most unlikely. Edited March 18, 2021 by Steve_M 1 Quote
jedibiker Posted March 19, 2021 Posted March 19, 2021 I think the temptation to chase the bus would have been huge. Quote
