Guest Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 (edited) Currently eating some salted cashews and some frazzles. Can't tell which are best. Edited June 23, 2023 by goat Quote
fullscreenaging Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Tough one as I like both and take both to work in my pack up. Cashews, Roasted peanuts & Pistachio’s are my go to. I voted crisps in the end as there is probably more choice. Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 Send me both and I will then be able to tell you. Crisps....preferably salt and vinegar Nuts.....either cashews or honey dry roast. Quote
Guest Posted June 23, 2023 Posted June 23, 2023 I feel like nuts are a luxury choice but there's something dirty about crisps I can't ignore. Quote
Mick67 Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) Smokey bacon crisps with a pickled egg or a shake of worcester sauce. Edited June 24, 2023 by Mick67 Quote
Mick67 Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Oh also crisps make great sarnies, with a large choice of filling flavours, nom nom. 2 Quote
Tinkicker Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Either would do for me right now, but the missus is complaining about my expanding waistline and therefore they are both contraband substances in the TK house. 1 1 Quote

onesea Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 It depends what your drinking and the occasion. Although I miss the whisky bottles full of peanuts I used to get in Africa. Looked like you where drinking whisky at a distance. Always raised some eye brows. Quote

Nuts are good for you, crisps are not You do not have to stop eating nuts to loose weight unless your eating them by the kilo 1 Quote
geofferz Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Nuts are more substantial, but crisps taste so good. Annoyingly the best nuts are the most expensive: in order - macadamias, pistachios, cashews, Brazil, the rest, with hazelnuts being the very worst, and also the very cheapest. Weird. Quote

Now if you would please explain that to the missus.... Good luck and do not forget to bring your flak vest. It wont help, but you will feel less afraid. 1 Quote

S-Westerly Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Don't mind quality crisps but peanut butter - devil's glop imo. And combined in a sarnie? Pass the sick bag! 1 Quote

Fozzie Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 On the dietary front, crisps digest quickly and end up adding to the waistline. Nuts, while still packed with fat, are the more healthy option. I find when crisps are put in front of me, I can't stop eating them, especially when there's an assortment of dips. But I prefer nuts to crisps generally as I feel less guilty about eating them, and they aren't as moreish, I prefer the spicy variety packs. Macadamias are my favourite taste wise, but harder to source. Quote
JRH Posted June 26, 2023 Posted June 26, 2023 2 ounces of warm salted peanuts from Woolworths in a little white paper bag. There, thats showing my age. 2 Quote
husoi Posted June 28, 2023 Posted June 28, 2023 I'm surprised nobody come up with cashew nuts flavour crisps... Quote
