Z250SL - PT Kawasaki Motor Indonesia. Bleh. To be fair though if you actually look at it closely the word Indonesia is written all over it..

CB250 - Eicher Motors Ltd in India in 2007, weird because it was registered in 1994..

Yeah nah. The VIN is always correct though which is slightly spooky, makes it a good tool if you want to clone a vehicle.

Nothing wrong with Thai made bikes, their build quality often exceeds the Japanese. I've had a Honda that was Thai built, excellent.

PS, Honda oversee production to preserve the brand name.

Did some extensive research last night, majority of the big brands are made in Japan with some exceptions, the sub 500cc bikes tend to be hit and miss, some made in Japan some in France, several in Thailand, some odd ones a Malaysia, and a few in China, most of the bigger bikes upwards of 500cc tend to be Mainly Japan, although there have been some recent models that have been made in France, all these were from reg numbers that i could see from ebay and odd images from google

No. They are all made in Berlin aside from one, which is made in India.

Some engines are made in China but final assembly takes place in Germany.

Several of the reviews I looked at specifically stated the build quality of the Thai factory, especially their paintwork.

Mine is built in Japan, however it states year of manufacture is 2017 when it's a 2011 model.

Made in Japan. My previous Thai made Honda was actually finished slightly better than this one. Just a bit more attention paid to detail.

I dont think any site that requires that you enter either your reg number, but particularly your full VIN is a good thing.

I took one look at the page and what it was asking for and closed the window.

Honda Vins describe the county of manufacture. the factory. the model and the production number. obviously its that final number thats the important bit, that is unique. Most sites ask for the first X number of digits so your privacy is protected. This one did not and I found that far too dodgy for my taste.
