Providing your bike is all legal in the country it is registered in and you hold the correct licence then you have nothing to worry about The MOT is a yearly test for UK bikes West mids in November? Pie man Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 To Hull & Back. Not the well-known trotters Christmas special. But a 228-mile round trip to Bransholme, Hull. Painful motorway ride there and back, all for a 2hr meeting. Still the weather was nice, showing an average 57 mpg. Quote

Mississippi Bullfrog Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 I think I've turned my bike into a submarine. I set off to Liverpool to visit my parents who live right on the front. The weather was meant to be light rain. It is torrential. On the motorway the deluge was so heavy that I couldn't even see as far as my instrument panel. And there were still muppets driving with no lights on. Quote
S-Westerly Posted October 7, 2022 Posted October 7, 2022 Rode mine down to Bristol to get Covid jab #4. Got a Flu jab as a bonus. Was expecting wet so went bundled up. Had bright sunshine albeit windy as hell. Only wet I got was from the sweat pouring out of me on way home it was so hot. Now absolutely peeing down. Wife's walked into town for shopping (2 miles each way). She'll be a bit soggy around the edges! 1 Quote

onesea Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 Well the weekend has been rather stuffed. The plan has been Sail to the other end of Solent Friday for the night. A nice F6 maybe 7 from astern to blow us there over a large spring tide. Then drift back Saturday & Sunday, instead I ended up with a ride around the forest. ended by a stary ride across the forest. All started well, Until phone call from mother in law having funny turn. Ambulance on its way. The sail back to home port, was a tad more colourful. Up wind into a stiff breeze I won't include the picture of misses ass, her waterproofs leaked and she looked like she wet herself. We still managed to beat the ambulance, phone the Dr at 1600 same day appointment (I know I was shocked), Ambulance cancelled. Mother in-law ok now on anti-biotics. 5 Quote

Gerontious Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 meanwhile, in an alternate universe. where people occasionally ride their bikes and do things. I oiled my chain. 3 Quote
billy sugger Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 I fixed my Scott oiler. Heard noise coming from chain, so thought it needs adjusting, etc, turns out chain had sliced through the feed hose that provides the oil to the dual outlet, but the reservoir sits directly above the chain near the front cog so chain still got oiled but the noise was the hose remainder rubbing the chain. I then went out on it to help a fellow biker in distress - - - his chain had come off on the way to here from Daventry for blood test at NGH, so that's my good deed for the day 1 Quote
