Grumpy Old Git Posted November 5, 2022 Posted November 5, 2022 Got soaked during a short 'ride around the block'. LoL 2 Quote
PhilliC Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Today I cleaned up my carburetors. I forgot to take the internal after pics. Next on the list is de-rusting and hammerite for the frame. At least the bits I can get at without pulling everything off. This is my first bike. C 4 Quote
S-Westerly Posted November 9, 2022 Posted November 9, 2022 Collected it from south London and took the more scenic route back to Gloucestershire. Had some fun at least although the heavy rain around Wootton Bassett wasn't expected. At least my gear was still waterproof. 2 Quote
billy sugger Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Took it out of hibernation. Had job interview near Rugby today, and I'm now back in work from Monday 8 Quote
Ian Frog Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 Well done @billy sugger ! Took my Tiger 1050 to work today and dropping it off at it`s new home this afternoon and hopefully collecting my 1200 GT Pro at the same time. Cheers Ian 2 1 Quote
Gerontious Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 checked the oil and was marginally disappointed to find it didn't need any, which, on reflection was a good thing as I don't have any and its windy and cold and I just can't be bothered as I'm at work tonight. its a struggle. a daily struggle trying to find things wrong with this bike. obviously the biggest disappointment of all was that the dipstick doesn't need a torque wrench to do up correctly. I feel like writing a sternly worded letter to Honda. never mind... nearly bedtime. 4 Quote

onesea Posted November 10, 2022 Posted November 10, 2022 I did something I don't think have done since pre COVID. I went for a social bike ride. We didn't get far, we drank coffee and chatted, it was good to catch up. 6 Quote

S-Westerly Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 (edited) Rode it around Gloucester and nearly got knocked off on a roundabout by an apparently blind Mercedes driver. Then washed it having realised its been left filthy for over 2 months. Oops. Edited November 11, 2022 by S-Westerly Quote
billy sugger Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Added the 500 to my 600s insurance policy. No extra cost, so a result. Will tax it tomorrow when it comes live, then get it in for its MOT ASAP. Just in time for my new commute to work (22 miles each way) in the crap weather 2 Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted November 11, 2022 Posted November 11, 2022 Went out in my usual November kit. Then decided I'd take a chance on the weather and changed into my summer kit. Just got in having had a wonderful ride on dry roads and perfect temperature. The tank on the Bobber is getting low so I'll fill it with E5 as it won't get as much use over winter. 3 Quote
Fish Posted November 12, 2022 Posted November 12, 2022 Nice ride around the carpark known as central London. Quote

Gerontious Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Today I had a ride up to snodland. All is well in the land of snod. I asked him about Germany next year and the answer was yes definitely. @bonio 1 Quote
Bianco2564 Posted November 13, 2022 Posted November 13, 2022 Changed a front side light bulb on the Silverwing. The lamp holder is underneath a plastic panel below the screen, one of the mounting clips had previously been "repaired" in a fairly ugly style ( not me I might add). Out with the rapid Araldite and good as new.... Quote
S-Westerly Posted November 15, 2022 Posted November 15, 2022 Last few days have been really nice weather wise but couldn't get out on bike. Today I have to get out on bike and its absolutely pissing down and windy too. Joy! 1 Quote
