I lived in Norwich until 2 yrs ago, and my mum lives just outside Walsall (my daughter lives near Lichfield) so it was a fairly frequent trip for me. Look on the bright side, you don’t have to get stuck in the traffic queue at Elvedon nowadays (the A11 was all single carriageway and the A14 didn’t exist when I used to commute weekly from Solihull to Norwich!). Yeah, back in Walsall today, was about 3 hours to get here with the heavy rain. Just a dull route. I remember the days of the single carriageway at eleveden as well, was definitely rubbish. Have been around pelsall and rushall today. Not too bad. Back home Thursday which I'm looking forward to. Quote

S-Westerly Posted September 20, 2021 Author Posted September 20, 2021 And a bloody good morning it is too! Home at last and now I just have to wait a week to reclaim my bike. Wife booked a week's holiday starting tomorrow so no chance to collect it or ride tbh. 5 Quote

S-Westerly Posted September 20, 2021 Author Posted September 20, 2021 No, just a ferry to the IoW. Cruises are not her thing thankfully. Quote
