I'm knackered. Had a bad cough for last week ( not covid related!!) Just spent my 5th night sleeping on the sofa as I can't lie down for longer than 15 minutes without a massive coughing fit

Fortunately I've found whiskey helps greatly with easing my throat . Sadly ive still got two shifts at work left to do :crybaby:

Good morning all!

I'm just off for my last top up shop before Christmas. Had some pretty rough reaction to my moderna booster, which I'll explain later when the last of it is (touch wood) gone.

Work has ground to a near halt now as so many are off ill or for Christmas. Last week was manic and I overworked, so it's balancing out. I'm working over the Christmas period too other than the bank holidays, mostly just answering queries and writing up easy specs. Taking the first week of January off as that's when everyone comes back and there's a mix of screaming for answers to questions left in the previous years, and people going on about how fat they got in 2 weeks

That's me done for xmas. All shopping done, just got to pick up meat from the butchers tomorrow.

That's me on shifts until Christmas is over...

Good news is no lates or nights they saved those for New Year 🧐

Home again and into the Christmas frame of mind. Absolutely no side effects from Moderna jab so feeling quite perky.

Good Morning :classic_biggrin: I did get some side effects yesterday!

Dodgy guts, funny floaty headache and aching joints and a prickly creepy feeling on my skin:scratch:

But they only lasted a few hours and I seem to be pretty much normal now:thumb:

Meat picked up, queue at the butchers at 7am this morning 🤔  Then had a cracking breakfast at the whiskey distillery cafe. Minute steak, two eggs, boerwoers sausage, mushroom, tomato, toast, and triple cooked beef dripping chips.

We're in discussion about whether to stay home and have chip shop tea,

go out for a few beers, or both?

If we do go out we won't be staying late but I need to get into the Christmas spirit somehow

We've talked about going there but never have yet

Was going to take one but my appetite got the better of me 🤤. Other half had the full English. V. Tasty.

I think I may have some lingering after effects from my booster!

Had an enjoyable but fairly restrained day yesterday
