Steve_M Posted September 23, 2022 Posted September 23, 2022 Good evening. It’s been a while - life got a bit busy so I may have to do some catching up… anything of note I should look back upon. Busy life? Since I was last here I seem to have acquired two grandchildren, moved house (not mine, one of the kids moved house on the same day as she was having child - long story - so my OH and I ended up doing the move for her. I’m currently sitting in a hotel in the French Alps after riding down over the last couple of days. We’ll be touring for another ten days before returning. Sod’s law, the weather forecast is for continuous rain. Bugger. 3 Quote

Throttled Posted September 24, 2022 Posted September 24, 2022 Between holidays, work and decorating, this is the longest I have gone without riding my bike since I started biking. 1 Quote

Just chased mine when i ordered at the end of august I said they could only deliver 3 days a week we agreed some dates twice they have failed to deliver… Edited September 26, 2022 by onesea 1 Quote
Tiggie Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 @onesea I had similar with this. We ordered it in beginning of August and has taken until now. Also he was going to charge today's prices which are £70 more than what it was when we ordered it!! To be fair he realised and charged right amount. He said if I need more he can't fit me in until January! With energy costs rising more and more are buying it I guess, apparently, around here at least, there is a 3 month waiting list on Stoves and fitting Quote
Bender Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 @Tiggieyup rush before they are banned luckily up here all our trees fell down and log guys have too many. 2 Quote
Fiddlesticks Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 Someone was telling me they couldn't sell cut trees for firewood as the wood needed to be kiln dried. Seemed a bit mad to me, as any wood stood for two years will be bone dry. 1 Quote

Tiggie Posted September 26, 2022 Posted September 26, 2022 From last year they stopped the selling of wet wood. You can only buy Kiln dried or seasoned logs now. Wet wood being anything with over 20% moisture I think. Quote
