On my ride back from Glasgow yesterday I notice the many electronic signs with various road safety messages on. Typically

“ Have you had your eyesight checked”

”Tiredness kills. Take a break” (just before a service area!).

”Wear a seat belt - it’s the law”

”Soft tyres use more fuel”

”Child seats must be of an approved standard”

”Watch your distance”

”Watch your speed”

etc.

The one that I really was hoping would make an appearance would be something along the lines of “move to the near side  lane you wazzok”…

Seriously, why do people drive in the middle lane at 62.3mph (ok, I made that up, but you know what I mean) for mikes with no chance of overtaking the only vehicle on the inside lane that’s a mile down the road?

I came up the M1 yesterday and there was a lot of signs saying "keep left unless overtaking"

It never worked......

We have a sign that says drive in the left lane unless overtaking, no one takes a blind bit of notice.

I reckon some numpties don't know their left from their right so stick in the middle lane just in case.

Hey, they’ve paid to have them installed now they’re justifying that expense. 🤷

You mean, we've paid to had them installed.

Good point, well made. 🙏

Good afternoon. This morning had been quite productive with the fitting of the hand basin in the downstairs toilet room. I’m currently waiting for my good lady to return with a new toilet waste outlet so I can install the toilet. Oh happy days. 🤔

@Tiggie Just being nosey ! What does a five hour shift in your line of work do at this time of day?

I presume lots of prep for evening shift?

Cheers

Yep, all prep for tonight.

cut 5 slabs of fish today so approx 200 fillets.  Then there's the barrels of chips, fish cakes etc. Then about 45 minutes spent scrubbing potato rumbler and chipper and cleaning the prep room down.

My choice to come in so early, that way I get rest of day off.  A lot of fryers I've worked with came in later and would finish in afternoon. That's a waste of the day to me

Good Afternoon:classic_biggrin: I've been up ages! I went for an interview!

Think it went ok but I really don't know

I'll just have to wait to find out I suppose!

Didn't win The EuroMillions so I'd better keep looking :classic_biggrin:

@Bender  Wish I had, it's quite nice. Though I definitely wouldn't be drinking many of these on a school night

9.5%! That makes some of the old Polish beer I used to drink look watered down

I've not tried this one, my favourite so far has been "Elvis Juice". How does this one taste?

Strong!! 😆

It tastes pretty much like an extra strong IPA. Would buy again.

I've had the Elvis one. Didn't mind it after I got past the name
