Here I apply my gold rule 2

I don't give a f@ck :thumb:

Is like wolfs with sheep skin.

Quacks, walks like a duck, swim like a duck but is a phoquing cabbage 🙄

If they hate meat so much why does it need to look like it? 🙄

I have nothing against them personally good luck to them, but don't take the piss and call their food something it's not.

Nothing against Vegans but why in the name of sanity do the pasty faced , self righteous , lefty pricks  have to eat imitation meat ?

Dunno everyone, people take pig meat and try and make it look like a bear ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I love Bovril. There are 17 juicy cows squeezed into every pot 😋

When they can produce a 16 oz T-bone that cooks rare and bloody and tastes of beef but isn't animal based then I MAY consider that stuff but until then they can go and do the traditional to a rolling donut.

Basically I don't like militants / fanatics of any shape or form and most (but not all) vegans fall into that category.

I've been on a vegetables and fish diet for 2 years and didn't notice any difference.

So I went back to meat.

Greatly reduced red meat with pork rarely in the menu.

If anybody will ever comes to me preaching about being vegan I'll tell them where they can stick the celery... 😋

I don't care about others people's choices, and will usually live by "you do you, I'll do me"  but I have to say that working in my trade I have come across a ton of mouthy vegans.

Usually asking questions on the lines of " Do you cook your chips separately from the DEAD animals?'  I respond with "we do but use beef dripping to fry in, so sorry about that"  with a big customer service grin on my face

I went vegan about 20 years ago due to some problems with my digestive system, I was reacting badly to most animal products including dairy, I wish I had done it before as it is a fantastic way to live, I do miss bacon sandwiches but once I consider the health and ethical issues I am happy to go without. I have been following a fruitarian regime for the last six months on advice from my yoga instructor to reach a full cleansing of my chakras. I still feed the dog meat products but I get ethically sourced kibble for him, we need to do our bit for Mother Earth.

I'm not a vegan, and have definitely encountered the self-righteous, preachy kind that give them all a bad name.

Having said that, why is it a problem if some people want fake meat? The issue most vegans have with eating animals is the cruelty, not the taste or the way it looks on a plate.

I imagine that led to a number of life issues for you.

I love the taste of meat but went veggie for ethical and health reasons. In the same way that a sausage dog doesn't offend me neither do vegan Sausages, or 'facon' as we call it, because we know roughly what we're getting. Never sure why meat eaters are offended by this though, quite odd.

As an omnivore, I’m not in the slightest offended. Indeed, our Sunday roast is probably 75% vegan. 🤔😉
