onesea Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 (edited) In future when someone asks what did you do during the great lockdown of 2020. What will you reply? For me it will be I watched every James Bond movie from beginning to end... Edited June 23, 2020 by onesea Quote
Tankbag Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 When I could pry the remote out of the missus hand I watched all of the original star trek, space 1999 & red dwarf. Joined a bunch of biking FB groups & gave up whisky. Quote
Gerontious Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Carried on as though nothing had happened. Went to work as normal. Though obviously work itself has been far from normal, in fact it's been extremely difficult. But, I've only been attacked twice which is possibly a record in this place. And there was no blood or bruising which is obviously a plus. I'm doing a wake night. (10-7) and have missed a fun day. The TV.. A 60" is just a tad poorly after having an empty mug thrown at it. Mugs and LCD screens don't really get in all that well.Did I say I love this job? I love this job. Never a dull moment.By the way. I think the title of this thread will turn out to be just a tad wrong. I reckon it will be the Pandemic of the 2020s Quote

husoi Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Where to start...Fortunately I can work from home. Reduced my commuting time from 1hr to 20 seconds Sprayed my bike,Made a leather tank cover,Painted the stairs wallsMaking new steps and risers in proper ash woodMaking a pull behind trailerMOT'ed the bike back in MarchSprayed weedkiller on the front garden and part of the back onetied up the garage several timesmade a table saw with a tile cutterDestroyed a Lidl rotary tool and had to get a new onefitted a set of LED's on the bike (rear and indicators)At the end, the important bit is to keep your mind super busy so you don't have time to be bored Quote

SometimesSansEngine Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Was sent to work from home by my employer before it became cool to do soDidn't go to the supermarket in monthsAlready reasonably fit and healthy, but started a new exercise routine for my own mental health and to give me some structure from the boredom, and became leaner and fitter than before lockdownEven one of the cats who can't stand me seemed to grow affectionate towards me and tolerate my presence Quote
dynax Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Nothing really changed for me except for going shopping in the afternoon instead of the morning Quote
Guest Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 I uploaded some files to the internet actually.I said I'd never do it again but the endless political rants and conspiracy theories on Social Media pushed me over the edge! Quote
SometimesSansEngine Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Drank a lot and worked on my tan. If keeping sane via exercise wasn't my thing this would have been a viable option Quote
fastbob Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Once I'd recovered from the virus ( still not tested ) I returned to work as a Civil Servant . Quote
S-Westerly Posted June 23, 2020 Posted June 23, 2020 Had the worst bloody leave in my life. Growled and grumped throughout. Worked on decorating and gardening. Decided that all governments are basically charlatans and shouldn't be trusted to run a whelk stall. Swore never to knowingly buy something made in China ever again which is proving to be surprisingly difficult. Hated every single minute of the lockdown and whenever I could LEGITIMATELY break it did so. Was sorely tempted to break it when I didn't have a reason but didn't although probably stretched the limits of what was legitimate although not as much as one Dominic Cummings. Quote
