Good morning :thumb:

Temporary set back on my DAS, apart from the heavy rain which would have cancelled it anyway. I sat on a Triumph Tiger 800 which had been lowered but just barely able to tip toe, then moved onto a Speed Triple was able to tip toe just but just not enough to be comfortable on it. The instructor has got the dreaded Fazer but it was off the road, so he will get that operational and will try again in a week or two's time :thumb:

All good fun

Canada 🍁 is great, it's like USA but with nicer folk, if you avoid the French twats 😂

It's the same one I tried before and I just didn't like it, but I will have to overcome this and just crack on with it :thumb:

Good morning :thumb:

Feel rough as anything this morning, second sleepless night, supposed to be working today, but I just don't feel safe enough riding today, will speak to my work colleague and see if he can manage on his own, otherwise he will have to pick me up, just daren't risk it going on the bike.

Just because you've had a new consumer unit fitted a kitchen re wire and the electrics tested don't assume for a second that the mcb for the upstairs lights actually turns off the upstairs lights 🤔 guess how I discovered that 😂

Nice one - such a beautiful country and friendly people :thumb:

I found an article by a Manchester reporter writing a letter to a mother whose son was serving with the British army at the end of WW2 keeping the Russians at bay in Trieste.

It was addressed to my grandmother as the soldier concerned was my dad. He's the one on the right in the photo.

Good morning :thumb:

Cancelling my trip to the Lakes. Had major cramp in my leg during the night, probably due to still being tired and losing some sleep earlier in the week, so I think I should stay home and relax today :thumb:

We had a circuit fuse due to water in one of the sockets (long story involving stone walls not allowed to breath, leaking guttering and heavy rain) and we’re quite surprised to discover sockets in various parts of the house not working as a result.

Sounds like when the shaver socket in the bathroom blew and then the washing machine wouldn't work. Turned out the previous owner had run a two core wire from the kitchen into the back of the shaver unit and secured it by the professional application of two bent matchsticks.
