Latest Update!

The Rally is ON! :beer2:

Some details are yet to be confirmed but we have the venue as follows:

Dates: 1st - 3rd September (camping from 1200 on the 1st to afternoon on the 3rd).

Cost: Camping and Entertainment FREE (but see note 1 below)

Location: Black Bull, Brampton, 25 Church Rd, Brampton, Huntingdon. PE28 4PF

Details:

Camping available up to 35 persons (see note 1 below)

Dedicated area in the north section of the beer garden to include tables/benches.

Toilets (possibly only portaloos) available however, there is a 'proper' toilet block on site which is currently WIP and may be available (includes hot water)

Car park (gated) which would be kept clear for our event.

Outside Bar available Subject to 'normal' opening hours.

Outside professional BBQ available (if weather is OK).

Entertainment (a local group) will be provided (FREE!)

Breakfasts available (pre-order the day before).

We can have a 'private' room (albeit quite small) in the pub if we wish it.

Pub open for drinks and food during 'normal' hours - We can run individual 'tabs' if required.

Gas Patio heaters are available for the area if needed.

Limited Electricity outlets available (not 'hook ups')

Room for 1 camper van on the car park if Rennie requires it.

Rules:

No individual BBQs / Open fires allowed

Noise must cease at midnight

Notes:

1. Camping has yet to be confirmed (owner is negotiating with the Council Planning and Licencing departments). however, there are a couple of alternatives:

a) The Willows Campsite: Bromholme Ln, Brampton, Huntingdon PE28 4NE The owner of the B/Bull is talking with them in case we cannot get authorisation to allow camping at the Bull - Looking for a discounted rate and transfers to/from the Bull for the Friday & Saturday evenings. This will be transmitted to all on here if it happens.

b) A field in River Lane, Brampton - No facilities however, the owner of the Bull will ferry groups to/from the Bull in his wagon.

2. There are B&Bs, Travel lodge and a Holiday in all within 1 mile of the venue.

3. I'll sort out a couple of ride outs.

The next step is to find out how many of you bikers will come to this Rally?

@Stu Can you put up a 'vote' thingy please?

Also, would you look at rally shirts?

Cheers,

GOG

F**k me ! You've actually agreed on a date and venue .

Probably won't be camping but I'll definitely make every effort to look in at some point ..

Probably not !

I actually miss that old girl a surprising amount.

At least I know you will look after her.

Anyway I hope you are feeling better now?

Yeah , I'm fighting back to regain my health . I've joined Slimming World again and lost over a stone in 5 weeks . The Harley is running great again after I changed the plugs but it might have just been my imagination . I think my riding technique on it has greatly improved having come to it fresh after the winter . Last year I had to transition from the Sportster which needed more gear changes whereas this year everything feels  more natural .

That is good to hear both your health and the riding.

Hope you are still liking the Harley?

I'll go, to camp, if camping is confirmed.

Are there showers?

Not currently but... I live 3mins (by bike) away and (if you need to) you can shower here.
