I would have thought I'd have got used to the new one by now but I still find it to be counterintuitive and generally rather off putting . Bender Posted June 15, 2021 Share Posted June 15, 2021 Hmmmm nope, I admit to disliking it greatly when we switched but that lasted about 2weeks, I've spent years on various vb powered forums so the change was certainly noticeable. My interactions on here are 99.9% done on a mobile, I just use the new posts for the most part but sometimes browse through the sections to make keep tabs on things. Stu Posted June 15, 2021 Share Posted June 15, 2021 I used to think that I had made a huge mistake when I switched over but I soon got used to it! don't get me wrong there is some things that do work a little better on the other software than this one but thats admin side and not as a user I soon got used to it and how it all works As I have asked many times before @fastbob but never seem to get an answer! onesea Posted June 16, 2021 Share Posted June 16, 2021 There are glitches that are good glitches that are bad. I have set up unread to mean all unread for the year (like we had on the old forum). Notifications seems to work for posts I have commented on. Just like the old forum I rarely dipped into the sections just glanced over unread. Hardest thing if finding a thread that I have read, for me it's the search function. Good for old posts Or for recent posts carefully change my unread stream to all, then look back as it's normally a recent post.. Not impressed with the ?new scoring threads thing. More clutter, not convinced by winning days, I know I don't have to look at them. I don't but occasionally I bump into them, a forum for me is chat and above not about winning days. PS @fastbob I know this sounds sad if your struggling, try getting another member who has an understanding of this to go through with you in person. Often it's the simplest thing that can be throwing us. My daughter is for ever rolling her eyes at me, you can't do that more better like this...
