Mr Fro Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Morning all. Covid Mk 2 is really dragging on. In the mornings it sounds like a chain smoker convention in my house! 1 Quote
Fozzie Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Good morning! I'm not working a full week until May, and then I have a week off mid-May... Trying to burn 8 weeks of holiday before August when it resets. I was allowed unlimited carry over from the pandemic, which meant I carried all 5 weeks I'm normally allowed. Can't seem to get rid of them, and I don't like doing too much time off! More first world problems I guess Quote

NeilM Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 Morning. Just back from doctors. Confirmation of long covid...... Been put on steroids and another inhaler. Going back to work Monday day shift. Otherwise MH will start suffering. Better not put all the weight back on due to steroids which I've lost due to covid 1 Quote

The old man tore his bicep last year, so his lifting ability has been knocked, so I'm now doing jobs as penance as it was me who detached it (Birthday arm wrestle). Quote
Throttled Posted March 30, 2022 Posted March 30, 2022 My turn! Got the virus on a night out with a friend, who the time before when we met up he got it. We were careful, but between the bus, train and the three pubs, I managed to get it. Now day 6. I worked days 2 and 3 as I tested negative with a lateral flow and it was day 3 after work before symptoms started. A PCR on day 4 confirmed. Feels like a bad cold, blocked sinus, sore throat. Can taste and smell fine. More bored than anything else. 1 Quote

Turns out the toothache is due to Covid mucking up her sinuses, teeth and sinuses share the same nerve so a sinus infection can feel like toothache. She's been on antibiotics which have made her feel nauseous but after five days the toothache is beginning to calm down. 1 Quote

Steve_M Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Good morning. We’ve had a light dusting of snow here. Bloody cold outside. I didn’t expect to have the wood burner on until after summer but it’s lit and warming us nicely. 1 Quote
NeilM Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Not a light dusting here..... Just taken me 2 hours to do a 28 mile round trip getting Lewis to college this morning. The M62 from home to Huddersfield was entertaining..... Supposed to melt and start again later here. P.s. Lisa set off to the coast at 7 am!!! She might make it for tea time....lol Quote
MikeHorton Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Just had a whole 2 minutes of snow here! Quote
Trooper74 Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Good 3-4 inches here and a bit of a blizzard .... but mostly gone now .. Quote
Throttled Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 It snowed yesterday, when the outside thermometer was reading 10 degrees. Quote
Mississippi Bullfrog Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 This is a job I am not looking forward to, replacing the window regulator in my Astra. The window still works but only moves up and down by a couple of inches at a time. I hate messing about inside car doors, nasty sharp edges and fiddly bits. And getting the regulator lined up right is probably going to involve some choice language. Quote
billy sugger Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 I had to change the drivers side one in my astra sport. I prefer stripping bike engines to that faff Quote
Steve_M Posted March 31, 2022 Posted March 31, 2022 Good evening all. After a day of mixed weather nature has presented us with a fine sunset. 3 Quote
