Rode out to Chipping Camden to pick up something for my wife. Reminded myself of how much I enjoy Fish Hill. Possibly over-egged it a bit but was still good fun. Then probably got caught my camera van on bridge over M5 near Tewkesbury. Annoying as hell especially as I was being a bit too enthusiastic again. A nervous couple of weeks awaits me.😳

I got a ticket come last week, 40 in a 30, saw the van but never realised the limit had lowered from the direction of travel

I was on the motorway heading south with the sun in my eyes so didn't see the van parked on the bridge. My fault entirely. Whether the van will have managed to read my plate I don't know as it too would have been straight into the sun. For that matter I'm not even sure if it was a speed trap or a number plate reading van from VOSA.

Fingers crossed mate. 🤞

Fish Hill has to be my favourite hill. Its a great hill and I can see why you can get enthusiastically carried away. :bike2:

It's better uphill imo as if you catch up with something slow there's an overtaking lane. On the downhill you are just stuck due to the double white line. Boo.

First time in the Cotswolds a couple of weeks ago. We stayed in Tetbury as a base and ventured out for days out - found Fish Hill by chance on the way to Broadway. Will definitely be returning for a few days in the spring/summer. :thumb:

After baiting Greens (too easy) rode into Bristol (what a horrible place that is to ride in, half the bus lanes allow motorbikes then without warning the next bit doesn't, its got random 20 mph speed limits and is just not nice.) Any way having got to the shop I wanted half of what I needed wasn't available but it was in Cardiff/ Penarth so I decided I'd go there. Really slow motorway and interesting route to Penarth via the old Cardiff docks the which I've not seen for 40 years. Changed a bit! Got what I needed so came home a more interesting route via Caerleon, Usk, Monmouth and Gloucester. The road between Caerleon and Usk in particular was really good fun. Quiet too so good for a blast.

Today I had a blast down the local motorway and bought my last Xmas present.

I then went to pick up some bike parts that DPD had taken to the local supermarket for me to collect, as the driver had not waited long enough for anyone to answer the door when they tried to deliver. However, the supermarket (Morrisons) deny receiving any. DPD insist they were dropped off there and have a photo to prove it. Presently waiting for Morrisons to get back to me.

From a work experience Morrisons like to hide items under the stairs out back..... They hid our £90k server whilst denying they had received it. 😂

Went out on it. Came back filthy. Washed it. Went back out. Came back filthy again. Adjusted the chain and cleaned it. Went out again. Came back even filthier. Gave up cleaning it as I'm out again later.

On the bright side a small child was crossing the road and stopped and waved at me, so I waved back. This seemed to please her no end.

Being a daredevil I filled it with E10.

Really was no point cleaning then was there?
your paints going to fall of, your carbs implode, your tank rust away, tyres will melt, your wiring is going to catch fire and your headlight bulb is going to blow.

I have just been for a quick ride and filled mine up with E10 and now the fuel gauge isn't registering, it has been showing the lowest of 3 bars even though the tank is full. Email sent to KTM dealer - I have read its a common fault with KTM.

Washed and dried both bikes and added a little more ACF50. Emailed KTM dealer wanting update on exhaust and mentioned fuel gauge in my email- I received a reply two hours later 'we have a new exhaust for you and we will sort out the fuel gauge, its likely the fuel sender float is getting stuck so when you come over we will fit your new exhaust and take care of the fault. If you give us a call we can explain and sort it out.....Result :thumb:

Phone call later. After the introductions we talk business - we can sort your bike -

Me - 'Great, When'

Dealer - 'We're booked up until Feb'

Me - 'WTF' 😂

Dealer - 'Eh'

Me - 'I'll give you a call Monday' 😂

Same for me. Tried to book my bike in for routine service at beginning of December.  Neither Bristol or Worcester could do it before January. Weird as usually this time of year its easy to get service at short notice.

@Pie man @S-Westerly don’t worry some one will be along shortly to blame COVID, it’s an excuse that never gets old.

We had to cut back and…. So many more people want….  they are in isolation… we are in a different bubble…. We cannot get the spares…
