I really hate washing and cleaning cars and motorbikes. Motorbikes in particular.

I’d even rather be decorating.

No, hang on. Stet that. Decorating. Eugh.

What, if anything, is your least favourite thing about owning a motorbike?

Fricking love cleaning my bike. I used to do it after most (80%?) rides. I miss it.

My fuel bill...

Oh and the fact that my bike gear takes more space than the rest of my clothes put together..

I think the worst thing is the amount of security we need to use to stop some scrote taking them.

I would be so nice to be able to walk out of the door and jump straight on without have to spend 10 mins undoing chains and locks before riding off.

Ah yes . I'll give you that one . Sometimes when I'm stuck at work I'm actually glad when it's raining because I wouldn't be out anyway .

Move up to Cumbria, you could do mine. I’d pay (though not that much). It needs cleaning after every ride - it gets filthy ‘cos of the run-off from fields.

I remember the winter commute well. 14 miles each way from Acle to Norwich for several years. The A47 was a grind. To your list I could add a “boil in the bag” one piece oversuit.

I dislike the time taken and the faff putting on my gear/clobber.
I like wearing it, I feel like a knight, but the time I save on journeys because I can filter is lost with time to get my kit on.

I have learnt to accept that’s an overhead, but I rarely do rides of less than an hour now, and only for leisure so it’s just part of the prep, a bit like the POWDERS checks before setting out.

I accept it, I dislike it. I commute all my working trips on my bike and love it. For a fifteen minute ride to another office it takes as much to get dressed and undressed.

The only thing I dislike is the huffing and puffing getting it out of its parking space before I can ride off. Its the only time I notice it's 225 kg.

perhaps it needed some holes in it to keep him cool.

Tightening the chain. In fact doing anything with the chain. Dunno why - it's just one faff too far.

I know you meant it in jest but I was a little perturbed the other day to hear that local to me a Lexmoto 125 had been stolen from someone's garden. Cutting 3 chains and snapping the disk lock off to get it

Makes me worry if they will go to that much trouble over a cheap 125 what do you need to protect an RSV or a monster? :classic_mellow:
