Phoned an MOT station that I haven't used before , asked whether they MOT Harleys with really loud pipes , the guy said " I bet it's not as loud as mine " Right you are then , see you Friday morning ! Sorted .👍

That sounds like a challenge to me Bob.

I don't know what bike he's got yet . Could be a proper ground shaker of a Big Twin Harley . My neighbor gets his MOT done at the same place and he has a 1600 Marauder with no baffles in Shotgun Pipes and that IS loud. It doesn't have the crazy random rhythms of a carburettor Harley though .

A bacon butty should absolutely be sauce free, especially if its decent bacon.

Too grim to contemplate .

Cannot say I agree...

How ever if bacon is not the best it should be served with marmalade on toast 😋

Are we allowed to include the BLT in this discussion or is that too scary for the Salad Dodgers?

Posted

Doesn`t a BLT constitute 3 of your 5 a day and possibly 6 if you add red sauce?

Cheers

Ian

Anyway, whilst I hesitate to mention a motorcycle in this conversation, I seem to recall they have something to do with things.

So I went to the seaside this morning.

It was indeed New Brighton. And it was indeed cold. We have a group ride out that way next week. The forecast is even colder.

Washed all the winter crud off the little MT07 today. Fuelled up the 1290 ready for a ride out on Monday (if were not snowed in 😂😂)

Rode from Stroud to Cosham near Portsmouth to deliver something to my daughter. Went the mainly scenic route and returned another more scenic route. 260 miles in total. Sunny but on the Downs it was only 3 C at one point. Roads were busy and there were shed loads of bikes on the road. 20210403_124213.thumb.jpg.5af4d87d4dc3ca493c73fc9b9839f10c.jpg

Picked up my new Lithium Ion battery from Manhattan Motorcycles for the Himma ... we where all impressed with the weight ..800gms as opposed to the 3.4 kg of the battery coming out .. !

180 cranking amps as opposed to 130 for the oem battery .... and £30 cheaper than the same Li-On battery from Hitchcocks ....  who are currently closed and won’t send a battery by courier .... shame .... but it’s their business model ...
